Treatment for unilateral goose-neck (unilateral tonsillitis/pharyngitis), bilateral goose-neck (bilateral tonsillitis/pharyngitis), and linked-bead goose-neck (confluent tonsillitis/pharyngitis): Blow in 5 fen of Bidan (Green Elixir) and 1 fen of Jindan (Golden Elixir). Subsequently, use a ratio of 3 parts Jin to 3 parts Bi, applied for blowing phlegm, while simultaneously administering decoctions internally. For lesions on the left side, add Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome) and Xijiao (Rhinoceros Horn); for upper lesions, add Chishao (Red Peony Root) and Chaihu (Bupleurum Root); these are used concurrently for bilateral cases. If constipation occurs, add Zhike (Aurantii Fructus) and Xuanmingfen (Mirabilite). Once bowel movements resume, the condition will resolve spontaneously. By the third day, if the throat interior shows only redness and swelling without fine white spots, it is diagnosed as Houyong (Throat Abscess).
Treatment for Throat Abscess: Apply a small amount of Jindan and Bidan; internally administer paste medicines or decoctions.
Treatment for Houxuan (Throat Lichen/Atrophic Pharyngitis): Frequently blow in Bidan; occasionally hold and swallow paste medicines; additionally take decoctions with Tubei (Fritillaria Thunbergii Bulb) to descend Qi. One must abstain from anger, worry, alcohol, and sexual activity. Avoid consuming chicken, goose, fish, shrimp, crab, pig head, mutton, liver, intestines, eggplant, cucumber, and all spicy, roasted, Qi-moving, or Fire-stirring foods. Recovery is expected within one month.
Treatment for early-stage Houjun (Throat Fungus/Papilloma): Use 5 fen of Bidan and 1 fen of Jindan. Subsequently, mix 3 parts Bidan with 3 parts Jindan for blowing. Frequent swallowing of paste medicines and decoctions is required without interruption. First, crush HT Mushroom (Ma Bo) into juice and apply topically, then blow the powder for rapid effect.
Treatment for Sheyong (Tongue Abscess) and Houyong: Administer decoctions, specifically Xijiao Dihuang Tang (Rhino Horn and Rehmannia Decoction) modified. For tongue abscess, blow Jindan to the root of the tongue and both sides under the tongue continuously for rapid effect. For the throat interior, use a mixture of 10 parts Bidan and 1 part Jindan, blown frequently.
Treatment for Chanhoufeng (Coiling Throat Wind/Acute Epiglottitis): This is the most acute condition. Immediately upon onset, frequently blow Jindan and Bidan. Internal decoctions can save the patient; delay leads to fatality. Medications must include Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis).
Treatment for Yacaofeng (Alveolar Wind/Gingivoperiostitis): Use mouth ulcer medicines with added Niuhuang, doubling the dosage of Zhenzhu (Pearl) and Ercha (Catechu). In the first five days, purple discoloration recedes to white; in the next five days, new flesh grows; after another five days, recovery may be expected. If alveolar fistula forms with bleeding and pus from gum fissures, treatment is extremely difficult. Abstain from alcohol and sex; avoid all toxic foods. Internally administer Kidney-nourishing and Fire-descending agents; externally blow medicines frequently. Treat with patience for gradual improvement.
Treatment for Ya Yong (Gum Abscess): Blow with mouth ulcer medicines; recovery in one month.
Treatment for Ya Yao (Trismus/Jaw Lock): First, blow Jindan and Bidan into the tooth roots. Externally, use Huangshu Xiang (Yellow Mature Fragrance) to pry open the jaw. Then blow Jindan and Bidan onto the locked area; the swelling will subside naturally.
Treatment for Ya [Missing Character]: First use Jindan, then mouth ulcer medicines with added Bohe (Mint) and Bingpian (Borneol). Decoctions should include Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) and Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus).
Treatment for Ya Xuan (Gum Recession/Hyperplasia): Internally administer Spleen-fortifying and Fire-clearing agents; externally stop bleeding with Zhenzhu San (Pearl Powder).

If urine is dark red, add Mutong (Akebiae Caulis); if constipated, add Xuanmingfen (Mirabilite), taken after meals. If gums are rotting, apply flesh-generating medicine. Initially, clear Stomach heat and cool Blood externally with Pearl medicine. This refers to Excess Fire. If Stomach Deficiency Fire causes gum rot, apply external flesh-generating paste and internal decoction. Distinguishing between Excess and Deficiency Fire is crucial.
Zhenzhu San (Pearl Powder)
Longgu (Fossilized Bones, 1 qian, calcined), Zhenzhu (Pearl, 1 qian), Ercha (Catechu, 5 fen), Haipiaoxiao (Sepiae Endoconcha, 1 qian), Shen Sanqi (Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 2 qian), Moyao (Myrrha Resina), Ruxiang (Olibanum Resina - de-oiled, each 5 fen), Jiangxiangjie (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum Node, 1 qian, avoid iron vessels), Xiangpi (Elephantiasis Skin, 1 qian, roasted crisp), Zhusha (Cinnabar, 5 fen), Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum, 1 li).

If ruptured (Du/Pus), use mouth ulcer medicines with Niuhuang, doubling Zhenzhu and Ercha; taking decoctions is also beneficial.
Treatment for She Yong (Tongue Abscess): Equal parts Jindan and Bidan blown at the tongue root. Add large doses of Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome), Xijiao (Rhinoceros Horn), and Shanzhi (Gardeniae Fructus).
Treatment for Zi She Zhang (Purple Tongue Swelling): Use Bidan alone; internally take modified Xijiao Dihuang Tang. Recovery in one to two days.
Treatment for Mu She (Wood Tongue/Stiff Tongue) and Chong She (Double Tongue): At onset, first use Jindan and Bidan, then Jindan for blowing. Internal decoctions ensure safety despite severity.
Treatment for Shang'e Yong (Palatal Abscess): Puncture with silver needle, then blow with mouth ulcer medicines; Bidan is also acceptable.
Treatment for Jing Yong (Neck Abscess), Mian Yong (Facial Abscess), and Tuo Sai (Cheek Swelling): Prevent internal invasion. Blow Bidan and take decoctions. Externally apply Sanhuang San (Three Yellow Powder) to the affected area.
