The *Yangsheng Fang* (Prescriptions for Nourishing Life) states: Sit upright, face the sky, and exhale the qi of drunkenness and fullness caused by drinking and eating. After exhalation, one will immediately feel hungry and sober.

The *Yangsheng Fang* states: Excessive thinking damages the Heart. When the Heart is damaged, it leads to hematemesis (vomiting blood) or epistaxis (nosebleed), and the hair becomes scorched and brittle.

The *Yangsheng Fang Daoyin Fa* (Guiding and Pulling Methods from Prescriptions for Nourishing Life) states: Extend both legs and fingers, touching the five toes of the feet. This cures lumbar strain with inability to bend forward, and also heals chronic hemoptysis (coughing up blood) and long-standing body pain.
(Another method:) Longly extend both legs, grasp the five toes with both hands seven times. This cures lumbar strain with inability to bend or straighten, as well as blood diseases such as hemoptysis and chronic pain. Long-term practice in walking allows the body to become flexible and rotatable.

The *Yangsheng Fang* states: After consuming sweet cheese, do not consume sour vinegar; otherwise, it will inevitably transform into hematuria (blood in urine).

The *Yangsheng Fang* states: Do not expose oneself to wind when sweating after eating hot food, lest it cause hair loss. Regarding hot compress therapy (Tangwu) and stone needle treatment, there are separate specific formulas. The methods of nourishment and guiding/pulling are attached below.
The *Yangsheng Fang Daoyin Fa* states: To promote hair growth facing the "King's Direction" (upper head), begin combing while softly chanting a spell: "Niwan Xuanhua, preserve essence and endure long; Left is the hidden moon, Right is the root of the sun; The Six Harmonies are purified, Hundred Deities receive grace." After finishing the spell, rinse the mouth three times. If practiced regularly, hair will not fall out and will grow.
It further states: One should frequently change combs and comb many times, but avoid causing pain. Alternatively, have an attendant comb frequently to ensure blood circulation is unobstructed, keeping the hair roots firm.

The *Yangsheng Fang Daoyin Fa* states: Loosen hair, sit facing East, hold the Gu (firm grip) hand seal, and hold breath for one cycle. Raise left and right hands for Daoyin exercises, cover both ears with hands. This treats Head Wind (Toufeng), prevents graying, and uses hands to stroke the head to unblock the five meridians.
It further states: Upon waking in the early morning, use left and right hands alternately to pull upwards from the head towards the ears, and draw the beard and hair to facilitate circulation.
It further states: Sit on the ground with legs straight, touch the shins with fingers, and touch the head to the ground to adjust the vertebrae of the spine. This benefits the hair roots, making hair grow beautifully. Sit with legs extended one chi apart, grasp the shins, and touch the crown to the ground twelve times. This adjusts the spinal column without harm, promotes the moistening of Jing-Qi, and beautifies the hair roots, making hair dark, soft, smooth, and lustrous, preventing graying.
It further states: Lie prone, loosen hair facing East, hold the Gu hand seal, and hold breath for one cycle. Raise left and right hands for Daoyin. Cover ears to keep hair black and prevent graying. The prone position involves knees on the ground, forehead touching the ground, loosening hair and undoing the bun, spreading the head flat on the ground. Facing East symbolizes the art of longevity. Hold hands like an infant's fist, preventing Qi from escaping. Hold breath until stifled, then exhale via the "Xu" sound three times and inhale deeply and slowly. This constitutes one cycle. Fill the body cavity with Qi, guide it to expel old evil pathogens and latent Qi from within, hence called Daoyin. Raise hands once each, cover ears and block nostrils three times, to eliminate the affliction of white hair.
It further states: In a squatting position, lift the five toes with hands, lower the head to the extreme limit. Then the Qi of the Five Zang organs circulates throughout the body. This treats deafness and blurred vision. Long-term practice turns white hair black again.
It further states: Wash hair on the 10th day of the first lunar month; white hair turns black.
It further states: Comb the hair a thousand times; the head will not turn white.
It further states: On the 1st day of the first lunar month, boil five fragrant herbs to make a decoction for washing the head; the head will not turn white.
It further states: Bathe and wash the head on the 10th day; the head will not turn white.
It further states: Bathe on the 14th day; teeth become firm and hair black.
It further states: On one's birth sign day, at the beginning of combing, tap the teeth nine times. Mentally chant the spell: "Da Chang San Ling, Wu Lao Fan Zhen, Niwan Xuanhua, preserve essence and endure long; Left returns to constrain the moon, Right draws the root of the sun; The Six Harmonies are purified, Hundred Diseases find their cure." Swallow saliva three times. Regular practice prevents toothache, keeps hair firm and black, and according to another version, prevents headache.
It further states: The Qi of the Heart spreads up, down, and in all four directions, its true red color connecting Heaven and Earth, making the self tall and long. This increases physical strength, turns white hair black, and causes fallen teeth to regrow.
