For Qi stagnation and abundant phlegm, use one Sydney pear (Note: Likely a textual variant for Snow Pear/Xueli, translated literally as per source). Make a hole, insert 1 qian of Bai Fan (Alumen), seal with paper, steam over water until cooked. Eat two or three times for cure.
[Food Stagnation Phlegm Cough] Luobozi (Radish Seed) half a jin, roasted dry and ground into powder. Mix with sugar to form pills the size of a cherry, wrap in silk, and dissolve in the mouth. Taking with juice is very effective.

[Chronic Cough with 40-50 Consecutive Bouts] (Also known as Dun Sou / Whooping Cough). Jiang Banxia (Prepared Pinellia Ternata Rhizoma) 1 liang, Beimu (Fritillariae Bulbus) 1 liang (Use Xiangbeimu initially, Chuanbeimu for chronic cases).
