The *Huangdi Neijing* (Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon) states: If chronic cough persists without resolution, the pathogenic factor will transmit to the Sanjiao (Triple Burner). The presentation of Sanjiao cough includes cough accompanied by abdominal fullness and anorexia. The root of these conditions lies in the accumulation of pathogens in the Stomach, which then affects the Lung.
The following formulas are listed for treating cough:
**Huoxiang Tang (Agastache Decoction)**: Treats chronic cough transmitting to the Sanjiao, presenting with abdominal fullness and anorexia.
Ingredients: Huoxiang Ye (Leaf of Agastache rugosa), Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Chi Fuling (Poria cocos with dark skin removed), Qing Jupi (Green Tangerine Peel, soaked in hot water, pith removed, and dried), Xixin (Herba Asari, radix and leaves removed), Yizhi Zi (Fructus Alpiniae oxyphyllae, husk removed, lightly stir-fried).
Usage: Grind into powder. Take appropriate amount, mixed with Huang Tang.

Usage: Same as above.
**Hujiao Lizhong Wan (Pepper Regulate Middle Pill)**: Treats Sanjiao cough due to deficiency-cold of Lung and Stomach, cough with rebellious Qi and vomiting, abdominal and hypochondriac fullness, and inability to eat.
**Renshen Tang (Ginseng Decoction)**: Treats Sanjiao cough, chest and heart stagnation and oppression, and disharmony of the four limbs.
