Accumulation (Ji) and Mass (Ju) with hard lumps. The "Accumulation" (Ji) belongs to Yin Qi, generated by the Five Zang Organs; the "Mass" (Ju) belongs to Yang Qi, formed by the Six Fu Organs. Both result from irregular diet and imbalance of cold and heat, leading to the stagnation of Qi in the Five Zang Organs forming "Accumulation" and the congestion of Qi in the Six Fu Organs forming "Mass". The pain of Accumulation remains fixed in its location, whereas the pain of Mass has no constant place. This is because Accumulation is Yin Qi, and Yin nature is deep and hidden, so the pain does not leave its original site. Mass is Yang Qi, and Yang nature is floating and wandering, so the pain has no fixed location. After childbirth, blood and Qi are weak, making one susceptible to invasion by wind-cold pathogens...
