夫膜入水轮外障。此眼初患之时。肝脏积热。虚劳多年。发歇作时。睛上有疮。可后便
生障翳。渐入水轮。因大肠壅滞。致使然也。此疾宜服退热饮子。钩割熨烙。兼宜补虚镇心
丸即瘥。
歌曰。黑上生疮可后痕。续生 肉渐相侵。时多长覆过痕了。因此名侵入水轮。虽即三
光微可睹。乌珠底下碧氛氲。庸医猛浪强钩割。遂使双眸转更昏。
玉翳浮瞒外障。此眼初患之时。或疼或痛。皆是风毒上冲入脑。积热在乎肝膈之上。致
令眼内有翳。如玉色相似。遮瞒瞳仁。如此疾状。并不宜割熨针烙。但只宜服退翳散立效。
歌曰。黑上浮云如玉色。还因疮可后留痕。枉施摩翳膏和散。拱手神医玄妙门。服药去
风兼治热。还睛丸散是其因。烧香供养根据龙树。觅取来时清净根。
旋螺尖起外障。此眼初患之时。忽然疼痛作时。由积热壅毒。留在肺间。切宜补治。恐
损眼也。宜服搜风汤泻肝饮子。宣肠立效。
歌曰。眼前生翳障成尖。起似旋螺挈治难。依旧根深将何奈。时时疼痛发风癫。消磨汤
饮勤为服。脏肺宣搜 不还。丸散解毒由他用。不相应药定无缘。
黄液上冲外障。此眼初患之时。疼痛发歇作时。赤涩泪出。渐生黄液。直覆黑睛。难辨
人
歌曰。黑睛从下生黄膜。脾胃寒风热共并。疼痛发时多计较。门冬犀角便能征。或镰或
点根据经法。若信邪巫不用争。更过烧炙无效后。再来求疗为施行。
赤膜下垂外障。此眼初患之时。忽然赤涩泪下。疼痛痒隐。瞳仁黑暗。渐生翳障。赤膜
下垂。直覆珠睛。有此障蔽。如云霞之色。如此病状。切宜镰洗出血熨烙。然后点清凉散。
服羚羊角饮子即瘥。
歌曰。黑睛从上赤来遮。脏腑元因受热邪。客气交侵肝内壅。睛轮被覆似云霞。上睑还
令瘀血尽。先宜洗烙渐能瘥。消停又点清凉散。诸药临时漫减加。
风牵睑出外障。此眼初患之时。乍好乍恶。发歇无时。多因泪出不止。盖因胃气受风。
肝膈积热。壅毒在眼 之间。致使眼皮翻出。切宜镰洗。散去瘀血。熨烙三五度。然后服黄
汤。用前摩风膏摩之。睑内涂白蔹膏即瘥。
歌曰。一般风热入双眸。此疾何缘未易除。肝脏毒风翻出睑。肾因传送入乌珠。若是睑
翻还易疗。毒风入黑即难收。铜篦轻熨摩风药。白蔹为膏睑内涂。
鸡冠蚬肉外障。此眼初患之时。皆因脾胃积热。肝脏受风。渐渐入眼中。致生翳膜。如
鸡冠蚬肉。或青或赤。此疾宜令钩割。镰洗熨烙。然后宜服抽风汤散。茺蔚子丸即瘥。
歌曰。轮中生翳似鸡冠。疗者先须翻出看。蚬肉或青黑又赤。不嫌割烙始能痊。要除风
热凭汤散。须用曾青点病源。若言根本未全愈。安心多服决明丸。
鹘眼凝睛外障。此眼初患之时。忽然痒痛泪出。五轮胀起皆硬。难以回转。难辨人物。
宜针引血脉。以摩风膏摩之。此疾皆因五脏热壅。冲上脑中。风毒入眼。致使然也。宜服泻
膈汤、抽风散。
歌曰。五轮目硬难回转。鹘眼凝睛是本形。欲识根源何所起。脑中风热脏中蒸。先将针
引开风壅。药压涂摩血脉行。莫教直须从内泄。除嗔戒行即安平。
瞳仁干缺外障。此眼初患之时。忽因疼痛发歇。作时难忍。夜卧不得睡。即瞳仁干缺。
或上或下。或东或西。长不圆正。虽辨三光。久后必俱损。大人多患。其瞳仁或白或黑不定。

歌曰。瞳仁干缺水全无。或黑或白作形膜。白即脑脂来闭塞。黑色其中本自虚。此状必
须疼痛后。胆家风热作劳劬。各医拱手无方救。堪叹长年暗室居。
辘轳转关外障。此眼初患之时。皆因膈中壅毒。肝脏热极。风热入脑。致令眼带吊起。
瞳睛难以回转。不辨人物。有胎中患者。乃不可治也。若初患者。急须疗之。宜服天门冬饮
子、泻肝散。
歌曰。上睑藏中下睑藏。还因不肯定中央。转关恰似辘轳转。圣者留言难改张。病即虽
云医不得。徒教学人认形彰。堪叹永处幽幽地。不识青黄坐久长。

During attacks, sores appear on the eye, followed by the formation of nebulae (opacity), which gradually invade the "Water Wheel" (the area corresponding to the pupil and lens). This is caused by stagnation in the Large Intestine. This disease is suitable for taking *Retie Yinzi* (Heat-Removing Decoction), combined with external treatments such as hooking/cutting, moxibustion/cauterization, and concurrently taking *Buxu Zhenxin Wan* (Deficiency-Nourishing Heart-Calming Pill) for recovery.
The verse says: Sores grow on the black cornea, leaving scars later; new flesh grows and gradually invades. Often covering the scar for a long time, hence named "Invading the Water Wheel." Although vision of the three lights (sun, moon, stars) is faintly visible, the black cornea is shrouded in mist. Quack doctors recklessly perform hooking/cutting, causing both eyes to become darker.
Jade Nebula Floating Over Pupil External Obstruction: When this eye disease first occurs, there is pain or soreness, caused by wind-toxin rushing up into the brain and accumulated heat residing above the Liver and Diaphragm. This leads to nebulae in the eye, resembling jade in color, obscuring the pupil. For such symptoms, cutting, cauterizing, needling, or burning are not suitable; only taking *Tuiyi San* (Nebula-Dispersing Powder) for immediate effect is appropriate.
The verse says: Cloud-like nebulae on the black cornea resemble jade color, remaining due to scars left after sores. Applying nebula-massaging ointments and powders is in vain; one must yield to the divine doctor's profound methods. Medicines dispel wind and treat heat; *Huanjing Wan/San* (Eye-Recovering Pill/Powder) is the cause. Burning incense and offering respects to Bodhisattva Nagarjuna, seeking the pure root.
Spiral Screw Pointed Rise External Obstruction: When this eye disease first occurs, sudden pain attacks occur due to accumulated heat and toxin stagnating in the Lungs. It is crucial to tonify and treat, fearing eye damage. Taking *Soufeng Tang Xiegan Yinzi* (Wind-Searching Decoction Liver-Draining Decoction) to unblock the intestines brings immediate results.
The verse says: Nebulae form pointed obstructions before the eyes; rising like a spiral screw, treatment is difficult. The deep roots remain, what can be done? Frequent pain attacks resemble wind-induced epilepsy. Diluting decoctions should be taken diligently; organ and lung meridians unblocked yet still hard to recover. Pills and powders for detoxification have other uses; inappropriate medicines certainly have no connection.
Yellow Fluid Rushing Upward External Obstruction: When this eye disease first occurs, pain attacks, redness, dryness, and tearing occur. Gradually, yellow fluid forms, directly covering the black cornea, making it difficult to recognize people...
The verse says: Yellow membranes grow from below the black cornea; spleen-stomach cold wind and heat pathogens combine. When pain attacks, much deliberation is needed; Ophiopogon (*Mendong*) and Rhinoceros Horn (*Xijiao*) can verify. Whether using scything or dropping points, follow canonical methods; if trusting evil shamans, do not contend. After cauterization proves ineffective, seek further treatment.
Red Membrane Drooping Downward External Obstruction: When this eye disease first occurs, sudden redness, dryness, and tearing occur, with pain, itching, and darkness of the pupil. Nebulae gradually form, with red membranes drooping down, directly covering the black cornea. Such obstruction resembles the colors of clouds and rosy dawn. For such conditions, it is crucial to wash out blood with a blade, apply cauterization, then drop *Qingliang San* (Cooling Clearing Powder) and take *Lingyangjiao Yinzi* (Antelope Horn Decoction) for recovery.
The verse says: Redness covers the black cornea from above; organs and bowels originally suffered heat pathogens. Guest pathogens invade and stagnate in the Liver; the eye wheel is covered like clouds and rosy dawn. Upper eyelid stasis must be cleared; washing and cauterization first allow gradual recovery. After settling, apply Cooling Clearing Powder; adjust all medicines as needed temporarily.
Wind-Pulled Eyelid Eversion External Obstruction: When this eye disease first occurs, condition fluctuates between good and bad with irregular attacks, often due to continuous tearing. This is because Stomach Qi is affected by wind, and heat accumulates in the Liver and Diaphragm, with toxins stagnating in the eye... causing the eyelid to evert. It is crucial to wash with a blade to disperse stasis, apply cauterization 3-5 times, then take *Huangtang* (Yellow Decoction), massage with the previously mentioned Wind-Massaging Ointment, and apply *Bailian Gao* (Ampelopsis Root Ointment) inside the eyelid for recovery.
The verse says: General wind-heat enters both eyes; why is this disease hard to remove? Liver poison-wind everts the eyelid; Kidney transmission enters the black cornea. If the eyelid is everted, it is easy to treat; once poison-wind enters the black cornea, it is hard to retrieve. Lightly cauterize with a copper comb and apply wind-massaging medicine; apply Ampelopsis Root ointment inside the eyelid.
Chicken Comb and Clam Meat External Obstruction: When this eye disease first occurs, it is due to accumulated heat in the Spleen and Stomach and wind affecting the Liver, gradually entering the eye to form nebulae resembling chicken combs or clam meat, either green or red. This disease requires hooking/cutting, washing with a blade, and cauterization, followed by taking *Choufeng San* (Wind-Extracting Powder) and *Chongwei Zi Wan* (Echium Seed Pill) for recovery.
The verse says: Nebulae in the wheel resemble chicken combs; healers must first flip them to look. Clam meat may be green, black, or red; do not fear cutting and cauterizing until healed. To remove wind-heat rely on decoctions and powders; use Azurite (*Cengqing*) to point to the disease source. If the root is not fully cured, peacefully take more *Jueming Wan* (Cassia Seed Pill).
Hawk Eye Fixed Gaze External Obstruction: When this eye disease first occurs, sudden itching, pain, and tearing occur; the Five Wheels swell and become hard, difficult to rotate, making it hard to distinguish people. Needling should guide the blood vessels, and massage with Wind-Massaging Ointment. This disease is caused by heat stagnation in the Five Zang Organs rushing up to the brain, with wind-toxin entering the eye. Taking *Xiege Tang* (Diaphragm-Draining Decoction) and *Choufeng San* (Wind-Extracting Powder) is suitable.
The verse says: The Five Wheels' eyes are hard and difficult to rotate; Hawk Eye Fixed Gaze is its original form. To know the origin, consider where it arises: wind-heat in the brain steams within the organs. First, use needling to open wind stagnation; press with medicine and massage to move blood vessels. Do not let it leak directly from within; eliminate anger and regulate conduct for peace.
Dry and Deficient Pupil External Obstruction: When this eye disease first occurs, sudden pain attacks are unbearable, preventing sleep at night, resulting in a dry and deficient pupil. It may be upper, lower, east, or west, never perfectly round. Although the three lights can be distinguished, long-term damage is inevitable. Adults often suffer from this; the pupil may be white or black unpredictably.
The verse says: Dry and deficient pupils lack water entirely; they form membranes that are black or white. White indicates brain fat blocking; black indicates inherent deficiency within. This state must follow pain; Gallbladder wind-heat causes labor and exhaustion. Doctors hang their hands in despair with no remedy; sighing at living in dark rooms for years.
Winch Turning Joint External Obstruction: When this eye disease first occurs, it is due to toxin stagnation in the Diaphragm, extreme heat in the Liver, and wind-heat entering the brain, causing the eye tendons to pull up, making the pupil difficult to rotate and unable to distinguish people. Congenital cases are incurable. For initial cases, urgent treatment is required. Taking *Tianmendong Yinzi* (Asparagus Decoction) and *Xiegan San* (Liver-Draining Powder) is suitable.
The verse says: Upper eyelid hides, lower eyelid hides; still uncertain in the center. Turning joints resemble a winch turning; sage's words are hard to change. Though it is said the disease cannot be cured, it merely teaches people to recognize the form. Sighing at eternally dwelling in dark places, unable to distinguish blue and yellow while sitting for long periods.
