Regarding "Shi Qi" (Seasonal Pathogenic Factors) disease, if it persists for eight or nine days without resolution, it may be due to the re-infection of various meridians by pathogenic factors. Alternatively, it may occur after sweating, vomiting, or purging therapies have been applied, yet the toxic pathogens remain incomplete. Consequently, the illness cannot be eradicated. Or, a disease affecting one meridian has not yet transmitted to others, causing stagnation for several days with unchanged clinical manifestations. In all such cases, treatment must be guided by careful observation of the syndrome patterns.
