Huoxiang Banxia San (Agastache and Pinellia Powder): Treats disharmony between the Lung and Stomach, expels phlegm, eliminates cough, strengthens the Middle Jiao, unblocks the Triple Burner, and promotes appetite.
Prescription: Huoxiang Ye (Agastache Leaf), Guigui (Cinnamon Twig) (each 1 liang), Banxia Qu (Pinellia Fermented Paste), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel, white part removed), Cangzhu (Atractylodes Rhizome, washed, each 0.5 liang), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger) (3 fen).
Usage: Add Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger, 3 slices), decoct with water and take.
Chenxiang Jiangqi Wan (Aquilaria Qi-Descending Pill): Treats phlegm-fluid retention and cough. Caused by Wind-Cold invading the Lung, Heart Fire flaring upward, and Wind-Heat clashing, leading to the generation of Wind-Heat Phlegm and dysfunction of Qi ascending and descending.
Prescription: Chenxiang (Aquilaria Wood), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root, soaked in wine and dried), Baishao (White Peony Root), Chuanxiong (Sichuan Lovage Rhizome), Zhike (Bitter Orange Fruit), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome, dried), Baifuling (Poria Cocos with Hostwood), Fushen (Poria Cocos with Pine Root), Gancao (Licorice Root) (each 1.5 liang).
Usage: Decoct Tianmendong (Asparagus Root) along with three other herbs, process into pills.
Da Jiangqi Tang (Great Qi-Descending Decoction) (from *Yifang Dacheng*): Treats excess above and deficiency below, stagnation of phlegm-solid in the diaphragm, wheezing and cough, dryness and discomfort in the throat.
Prescription: Zisuzi (Perilla Seed, lightly stir-fried), Chuanxiong (Sichuan Lovage Rhizome), Xixin (Asarum Root, leaves and soil removed), Qianhu (Peucedanum Root), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root, washed and dried), Nongpo (Magnolia Bark, peel removed, processed with ginger), Jiegeng (Platycodon Root, radix removed).
Usage: Cut the herbs into small pieces, take 3 qian per dose.
Jiu Bao Tang (Nine Treasures Decoction): Treats phlegm-cough.
Prescription: Bohe (Mint Herb), Beimu (Fritillaria Bulb), Juhong (Red Tangerine Peel), Gancao (Licorice Root), Zisu (Perilla Leaf), Xingren (Apricot Seed), Binglang (Areca Nut), Mahuang (Ephedra Herb), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber), Sangye (Mulberry Leaf), Wumei (Mume Fruit), Guigui (Cinnamon Twig) (equal parts).
Yangfei Tang (Nourishing Lung Decoction) (from *Zhizhi Fang*): Treats Lung obstruction with rebellious Qi, phlegm-cough.
Prescription: Renshen (Ginseng Root), Ziwan (Aster Root), Chi Fuling (Red Poria Cocos), Xingren (Apricot Seed, skin not removed), Zhen Suzi (Perilla Seed), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel), Sangbaipi (Mulberry Root Bark, stir-fried), Kuandonghua (Farfusa Flower), Banxia Qu (Pinellia Fermented Paste), Bei Geng (Platycodon Root).
Daren Shen Banxia Wan (Large Ginseng and Pinellia Pill) (from *Yuyao Yuanfang*): Treats resolving phlegm and sinking saliva, stopping cough and calming wheezing, various phlegm disorders with vomiting, phlegm rebellion and syncope, headache due to wind-pathogen, hemiplegia with numbness and pain, stroke.
Prescription: Renshen (Ginseng Root), Fuling (Poria Cocos, peel removed), Tiannanxing (Arisaema Rhizome), Bohe Ye (Mint Leaf) (each 0.5 liang), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber), Gan Shengjiang (Dried Fresh Ginger), Baijian (White Alum) (raw), Hanshui Shi (Halloysitum Rubrum) (each 1 liang).
Usage: Take after meals. Suitable for taking this medicine.
Runfei Wan (Moistening Lung Pill) (from *Yuyao Yuanfang*): Treats dysfunction of Lung Qi, cough with phlegm-solid, dryness of the throat.
Prescription: Gualou (Trichosanthes Fruit, 2 fruits, peel removed), Hanshui Shi (Halloysitum Rubrum, 2 liang, calcined), Yali (Duck Pear, 2 fruits, peel and seeds removed), Saojiao (Tamarindus Indica Fruit, 3 qian, peel, rind, and seeds removed, crushed).
Usage: Process together with Gualou, make pills like wutong seeds.
Yigong Wan (Extraordinary Efficacy Pill) (from *Yuyao Yuanfang*): Regulates Yin and Yang, expels phlegm-fluids, treats cough and wheezing reversal, phlegm-solid with dizziness, harmonizes Qi and stops thirst.
Prescription: Banxia (Pinellia Tuber), Dafuzi (Areca Seed), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Chi Fuling (Red Poria Cocos) (each 1 liang), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome), Zisu Ye (Perilla Leaf) (each 0.5 liang), Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger, 5 liang).
Usage: Make pills the size of chicken beans, take warm.
Lige Wan (Diaphragm-Unblocking Pill) (also known as Renshen Lige Wan, from *Yifang Dacheng*): Mainly treats discomfort in the chest, phlegm-cough with panting, stagnation of the Spleen and Stomach, regulates constipation and purges organs, removes old and generates new.
Prescription: Muxiang (Aucklandia Root, 1.5 qian), Binglang (Areca Nut, 1.5 qian), Renshen (Ginseng Root, 3 qian), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root, 2 qian), Huoxiang (Patchouli Herb, 1.5 qian), Dahuang (Rhubarb Root, wine-soaked and dried).
Usage: A small amount of cake can also be used.
Treating phlegm-cough and throat discomfort. (From *Bencao*)
Method: Hold 3-5 Suifengzi (Wind-Drifting Seeds) in the mouth; the effect is excellent. Suifengzi is Hezi (Chebula Fruit); when the fruit is immature and blown down by the wind, it is called Suifengzi. Dry it in the sun and store it.
Treating phlegm-saliva and cough. (From *Bencao*)
Method: Take Xingren (Apricot Seed), remove the skin, roast until red, grind with Guimo (Cinnamon Powder) into a paste, wrap in cotton like a bean, and hold in the mouth.

Usage: Decoct and take.
La Jian San (Wax-Decoction Powder) (from *Yifang Dacheng*): Smooths Lung Qi, benefits the throat and diaphragm, stops cough, resolves phlegm-saliva.
Prescription: Kuandonghua (Farfusa Flower), Ziwan (Aster Root, washed, soil removed, dried), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried, each 3 fen), Wuweizi (Schisandra Berry, stir-fried, 0.5 liang), Sangbaipi (Mulberry Root Bark, stir-fried), Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), Xingren (Apricot Seed).
Usage: Decoct together to 80% volume.
Ba Wei Kuandonghua San (Eight-Ingredient Farfusa Powder) (from *Yifang Dacheng*): Treats imbalance of Cold and Heat in the Lung, incessant phlegm-cough.
Prescription: Kuandonghua (Farfusa Flower, washed and dried), Ziwan Rong (Aster Bud), Wuweizi (Schisandra Berry), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried, each 7.5 qian), Sangbaipi (Mulberry Root Bark, stir-fried), Mahuang (Ephedra Herb, nodes removed), Xingren (Apricot Seed).
Usage: Decoct with water for one portion.
Da Lige Wan (Great Diaphragm-Unblocking Pill) (from *Yifang Dacheng*): Treats Wind-Phlegm Solid, wheezing and fullness with cough, Wind-Qi attacking upward.
Prescription: Qianniu (Morning Glory Seed, 4 liang, raw), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber, washed with boiling water, 2 liang), Saojiao (Tamarindus Indica Fruit, peel and rind removed, fried in酥 until crisp, 2 liang), Muxiang (Aucklandia Root, 0.5 liang), Qingpi (Green Tangerine Peel, white part removed, 2 liang).
Usage: Take with Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) decoction.
Jiawei Banxia Fuling Tang (Modified Pinellia and Poria Decoction) (from *Zhizhi Fang*): Treats excessive phlegm and cough.
Prescription: Banxia (Pinellia Tuber, processed, 2.5 liang), Fuling (Poria Cocos, 1.5 liang), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel), Wuweizi (Schisandra Berry) (each 1.5 liang), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Xixin (Asarum Root), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried, each 0.5 liang).
Banxia Gualou Wan (Pinellia and Trichosanthes Pill) (from *Xuanming Lun*): Treats recent or chronic cough, incessant irritability and wheezing.

Taibai Dan (Mount Tai White Pellet) (also known as Tiannanxing Wan, from *Weisheng Baojian*): Treats stagnation of Qi in the Triple Burner, breaks fluid retention, eliminates phlegm, stops cough, opens the stomach.

Chengqing Yin (Clearing Decoction) (from *Wei Shi Fang*): Treats various conditions of phlegm-cough when other medicines are ineffective.
Prescription: Nanxing (Arisaema Rhizome), Bangfen (Clam Powder), Zhimu (Anemarrhena Rhizome), Beimu (Fritillaria Bulb), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber), Baijian (White Alum).
Usage: Equal parts, cut into pieces. Take 3 qian per dose, with 1 large cup of water, 5 slices of Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger)...
