Purgative, vermifuge.
Acrid and cold in nature. Vermifuge. Treats regurgitation and dysphagia (must be taken hot; Zhang Wenzhong's *Shenshen Beiji Fang* records: "In the past, a person suffered from regurgitation. Despite imperial medical treatment, it could not be cured. A guard said, 'Taking donkey urine is highly effective.' He then took two he [approx. 200ml], vomited only half of his food, took another two he, ate congee, and his condition stabilized. Five or six people in the palace with regurgitation took it together and all recovered."). Donkey meat, sweet and cool in nature. Nourishes blood and benefits qi. Treats chronic exhaustion and damage. Decoct and drink on an empty stomach. Treats hemorrhoids caused by parasites (For vitiligo-like skin conditions [Bai Dian Feng], mix equal parts donkey urine and ginger juice, apply frequently for excellent results.).
Purgative, vermifuge, resolves masses.
Acrid and cold in nature. Vermifuge, breaks down mass accumulation. Treats regurgitation (Zu Taizhi's *Zhiguai* records: "In the past, a man and his slave both suffered from heart and abdominal pain. The slave died, and upon dissection, a live turtle was found inside. Various medicines were placed in its mouth, but it did not die. Someone riding a white horse observed this; donkey urine [Note: Text says Ma Ni - Horse Urine, but context implies animal urine effect, text explicitly says Ma Ni] dripped onto the turtle, causing it to shrink. It was then poured into the turtle, turning into water. The master took horse urine and recovered. Regurgitation can also be caused by parasite accumulation, so it is also treated with this."). Horse meat, acrid, bitter, and cold in nature. Toxic. Not suitable for consumption. Decoct and use to wash scalp sores and tinea capitis (white baldness) for good results. The above belong to the category of domestic animals.
Dispersing, dispels wind, strengthens bones.
Acrid and warm in nature. Belongs to Metal and controls Wood. Hence, when it roars, wind is generated. Pursues wind, strengthens bones. Relieves pain, expels evil. Treats wind-bi, spasms, convulsions, and pain. Palpitations and epilepsy. Dog bites, bone obstructions (Grind into powder, take with water; apply to dog bite wounds.). Head bone and tibia are best. (Even after death, a tiger may stand without falling; its strength lies entirely in the front tibia. Li Shizhen said: "For expelling evil influences, treating palpitations/epilepsy, plague/malaria, and head wind, use the head bone; for treating wind in hands and feet, use the tibia; for treating wind in the waist and spine, use the spinal bone. Each follows its corresponding category."). Tiger stomach, treats regurgitation (Take fresh, retain impurities, do not wash, calcine in a new tile until preserved in nature, grind into powder, add one liang of Pingwei San, take three qian per dose. Note: Tiger Stomach Pill is suitable for food stagnation in the diaphragm; for cold, qi, blood, or phlegm stagnation in the diaphragm, it may hardly show efficacy.). Tiger eyes, grind into powder. Take with bamboo sap. Treats pediatric palpitations/epilepsy and night crying. Tiger claws, primarily expel evil and kill ghosts. Tiger meat, sour and neutral in nature. Benefits qi and strength. Stops excessive salivation. Treats nausea and urge to vomit. Treats malaria. Expels thirty-six types of spirits/demons. Entering mountains, tigers fear it.
