In ancient times, a patient with Xiongbi (Chest Bi) suffered from urgent heart pain like needle pricks, unable to bend or straighten. A physician from Shu attributed this to evil blood in the chest cavity. He prescribed juice from several jin of raw leeks (Allium tuberosum). The patient vomited evil blood from the chest and recovered. Xiao Bing stated that newborns should be given leek root juice to induce vomiting of evil blood, ensuring they grow up without disease. This verifies that leeks can guide Heart Qi and remove evil Qi from the pericardium, treating chest conditions. (Yishuo quoting Mingyi Lu)

Hot Compress Method: Main formula for heart pain.
Mix vinegar with tangled hair. Place in a cloth-wrapped bowl over hot ashes. Wrap with multiple layers of cloth and apply as a compress. (Qianjin Yueling)
Regulation Method: Regarding epigastric pain centered below the heart, etc. If pain occurs frequently, the Yuan Qi (Original Qi) of the Stomach is severely deficient. Regulate for two to three days. Do not eat hot food; consume warm, soft, well-cooked food, swallowing carefully. Pain will likely cease, and harmony will return in one or two days. If eating hot thick porridge, pain may lead to near-death state. Do not speak after finishing speech; do not eat after speaking. (Note: The rationale here is unclear.) When desiring food, keep mouth and nose away from wind, and continue doing so after eating. Avoid raw, cold, hard foods, fruits, nuts, bran, flour, and fermented products. Long-term avoidance is necessary to prevent future complications. (Shixiao)
