Tianlinggai San (Skull Cap Powder): Treats female Chuan Shi Gu Zheng Lao (transmitted corpse bone-steaming consumption), characterized by weakness in the four limbs, fever occurring every evening, redness of the malar regions, difficulty in swallowing food, and mental restlessness.
Tianlinggai (Skull Cap, roasted with butter), Anxi Xiang (Benzoin Resin), Digupi (Cortex Lycii), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Renshen (Radix Ginseng, radix removed), Shanzhizi Ren (Semen Gardeniae), Beimu (Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae, heart removed), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis), Taoren (Semen Persicae, skin and tip removed, stir-fried with bran until yellow), Binglang (Areca Seed, each 1 liang); Sheng Gan Dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata), Biejia (Carapax et Plastrum Testudinis, vinegar-processed), Beichaihu (Radix Bupleuri), Chi Fuling (Poria with Red Mycelium, each 1.5 liang); Aw ei (Resina Ferulae, 0.5 liang).
Grind the above into coarse powder. Each dose is 4 qian, decocted with one large cup of urine from an uncircumcised boy, seven cun of willow branch, seven cun of peach branch, five slices of fresh ginger, and five cun of scallion white. Decoct until reduced to 70%, strain, and take warm. (Chuan Shi disease refers to a condition transmitted between individuals, leading sequentially to death, with similar symptoms. However, it is believed that Chuan Shi involves parasites with varying forms, making it difficult to treat. This formula uses Tianlinggai to dispel latent corpse pathogens, Anxi Xiang to drive away evil influences, and Aw ei, Taoren, and Binglang to expel parasites. The remaining herbs tonify qi and blood, clear bone heat, and resolve phlegm, without any other extraordinary properties. Its efficacy lies primarily in the use of urine from an uncircumcised boy, peach and willow branches, scallion, and ginger.)
Yimucao Wan (Motherwort Pill): Treats female bone-steaming consumption with emaciation, amenorrhea, mental restlessness and heat, pain in the four limbs, and inability to eat.
Yimucao (Herba Leonuri), Qinghao (Herba Artemisiae Annuae, each 2 jin); Tao Zhi (Peach Branch), Liu Zhi (Willow Branch, each one handful, one chi long).
Finely chop the above four ingredients. Decoct in one dou of urine from an uncircumcised boy in a silver pot until reduced to three sheng. Strain to remove dregs; boil down to form a paste.
Chaihu (Radix Bupleuri), Chishao Yao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), Xijiao Xie (Cornu Rhinocerotis, shaved, each 1 liang); Biejia (Carapax et Plastrum Testudinis, processed, 3 liang); Taoren (Semen Persicae, processed clean, 5 liang); Tianlinggai (Skull Cap, roasted with butter until slightly yellow); Zhusha (Cinnabar, finely ground and washed with water); Muxiang (Radix Aucklandiae), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, honey-fried, each 1 liang); Shexiang (Moschus, 0.5 liang, finely ground).
Grind the above into fine powder. Mix with the aforementioned paste and pound 500-700 times. Form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 30 pills per dose, administered with Wumei Gancao Tang (Mume Fruit and Licorice Decoction), at any time.
Tagan Wan (Badger Liver Pill): Treats female bone-steaming consumption with heat, emaciated body with vexing pain, and loss of appetite. (Slightly different from the previous formula, but this one emphasizes Badger Liver.)
Tagan (Liver of Badger, one piece), Biejia (Carapax et Plastrum Testudinis, vinegar-processed), Beichaihu (Radix Bupleuri, each 1.5 liang); Chuanshengma (Radix Cimicifugae), Taoren (Semen Persicae, processed), Tianlinggai (Skull Cap, roasted with butter); Xijiao Xie (Cornu Rhinocerotis, shaved), Zhizi Ren (Semen Gardeniae), Digupi (Cortex Lycii), Zhimu (Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, each 1 liang); Huangqi (Radix Astragali, 0.75 liang); Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, 0.5 liang); Shexiang (Moschus, 0.25 liang, ground); Zhusha (Cinnabar, 1 liang, finely ground and washed with water).
