Duye Yizhihua (Single-Leaf One-Flower Herb), this herb grows in mountainous areas with water sources. It has a single leaf resembling that of a lotus, but smaller and green; it has a single stem without branches, bearing flowers on the stem, and two fruits at the root. Consumption prolongs life and lightens the body. The taste is sweet and pungent. It is non-toxic. It treats all kinds of deficiencies and various injuries, as well as lower back pain and leg pain, with miraculous efficacy. Take the two fruits from the root, wrap them well in wheat flour, roast them in fire for one shichen (two hours), then grind into powder to rescue from plague. Grind the flowers into powder and apply to various toxic sores to heal them immediately, promoting tissue regeneration and flesh growth. This herb, when pounded together with Dicao Guo (Areca catechu seed or similar local fruit), dried, and ground into powder, can be formed into pills. Take one qian per dose, taken together with one qian of Ce Bai Ye (Biota orientalis leaf). It darkens hair and beard. Taking Dicao Guo alone treats stomach qi pain.
Yanggen Cao (Yam Root Grass), the taste is sweet and astringent, nature is slightly cold. Enters the Liver and Spleen meridians. Cools blood and stops bleeding. Treats hematochezia (blood in stool) from the large intestine, red metrorrhagia (heavy vaginal bleeding) and leukorrhea in women, and prolonged menstruation. Promotes urination, treats Wu Lin (five types of strangury) and white turbidity, resolves blood stasis and swelling.
Formula: Yanggen Cao (2 qian), Guanzhong (1 qian), simmer in water, take with a little water wine.

Jiuye Yunxiangcao (Leek-leaf Aromatic Herb), the taste is pungent and slightly bitter, nature is slightly cold. Treats mountain miasma, intolerance to local climate, common cold due to wind-cold-dampness-heat, or exposure to irregular qi of the four seasons. Symptoms include headache and fever, alternating chills and heat, bodily fatigue and soreness, alternating chills and fever, symptoms resembling malaria but not typical malaria, or outbreak of malarial fevers, chest and diaphragm distension, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, vomiting, and watery diarrhea. It can resolve water toxicity. The true herb has white hairs on its surface; if absent, it is not genuine, so distinction is necessary.
Native to the region.
Formula: Jiuye Yunxiangcao (1 qian), Mugua (0.5 qian), Cangzhu (1 qian), Chenpi (1 qian), Houpo (1 qian), Gancao (0.5 qian), Shengjiang (1 slice), decoct in water and take orally. Avoid oily and meaty foods.
The disease resolves after administration.
(Additional Note): In the past, Wuhou (Zhuge Liang) entered Yunnan and obtained this herb to treat smoky miasma. This herb grows in tea mountain areas such as Yongchang, Pu'er, and Shunning. Its shape resembles an orchid, but the leaves have fine white hairs and resemble leek leaves; however, leek leaves are soft, whereas Yunxiangcao is hard.
