鱼腥草 煎汤打鸡蛋吃,不过数次,即可回生。
[Golden Carp Decoction] (from *Zhengzong*) Indicated for lung abscess that has formed or is not yet fully formed, presenting with dull pain in the chest and expectoration of pus and blood.
One golden live carp (weighing approximately four liang), Chuan Bei Mu (Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus) one qian (heart removed).
First, split the live carp along with its scales, remove the internal organs, taking care not to expose it to raw water. Sprinkle the powder of Chuan Bei Mu into the fish belly, tie it securely with thread. Take half a large bowl of pure white child's urine, soak the fish in the urine, and cook it using a double-boiling method until the fish eyes protrude. After a short while, take it out, remove the scales and bones, keep only the clean fish meat, and immerse it again in the child's urine to heat until cooked. Consume the fish and urine in two to three portions, finishing all within one day. The efficacy is very rapid.
[Pai Nong San] After a patient with lung abscess expects purulent blood, this medicine is suitable to expel pus and foul matter, and to tonify Lung Qi.
Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Huang Qi (Astragali Radix), Bai Zhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Wu Wei Zi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus) in equal parts.
Grind the above herbs into fine powder. Take three qian each time, mixed with honey water after meals.
[Another Prescription]
Jin Yin Hua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos) eight liang, Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) and Mai Men Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix) two liang each, Bai Shao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) and Shan Zhi (Gardeniae Fructus) three qian each, Sheng Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) and Xuan Shen (Scrophulariae Radix) one liang each.
Decoct with eight bowls of water until one bowl remains; drink. Decoct the dregs with four bowls of water until half a bowl remains; drink.
[Another Prescription]

Decoct with water and take.
(Qi Tian Shi commented: Among the ingredients of this prescription, only Mai Men Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix) clears Lung fire; the others enter the Spleen, Liver, and Heart meridians. Why use them? Entering the Liver pacifies Wood, so the Metal of the Lung does not need to exert effort to control it, thus the Lung Metal is nourished. Entering the Heart meridian prevents Heart Fire from oppressing Lung Metal, thus the Lung Metal is nourished. Entering the Spleen allows Spleen Earth to generate Lung Metal, thus the Lung Metal is nourished. Although these are medicines treating the Spleen, Heart, and Liver, seemingly employing methods of treating the first, second, and third separated organs, this is actually direct treatment of Lung Metal.
Lei Gong said: My intention was to add three qian of Bai Shao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) to pacify Liver Fire, so that Heart Fire weakens and does not conquer the Lung.
Sun Zhen Jun said: This treatment of separating by one, two, or three organs is essentially direct treatment of the Lung meridian. These discussions are truly enlightening. All Lung diseases should be treated in this manner. Do not think that Qi Tian Shi's theory applies only to lung abscess and is not applicable to general Lung diseases.)
[Jiu Fei Bai Du Zhi Sheng Dan] (Prescription by Qi Tian Shi)
