The growth of corneal opacity (nebula) is categorized into favorable (Shun) and unfavorable (Ni) patterns, with variations in upper or lower onset. The favorable pattern presents as opacity descending from above, invading the black pupil (cornea); the unfavorable pattern presents as opacity rushing upward from below, invading the black pupil (cornea). The favorable pattern is easy to treat, whereas the unfavorable pattern is difficult to cure. Regardless of the pattern, surgical hooking and cutting should be employed first to remove the opacity membrane, followed by the administration of Zhi Mu Yin to clear internal heat.

Wind-induced Ectropion manifests as eversion of the eyelid skin, redness of both upper and lower eyelids, copious discharge, and continuous tearing. This condition arises from accumulated heat in the Stomach meridian and wind pathogen in the Liver. It is advisable to first wash away the stasis and pathological changes using topical washing, which leads to recovery. Subsequently, Huang Qi Tang should be administered to clear heat and disperse pathogens.

Corn-like granules (Jiao Chuang) and millet-like grains (Feng Su) arise on the eyelids. Symptoms include excessive tearing, difficulty opening the eyes, friction sensation, and pain. Feng Su resembles millet, appearing yellow and soft, caused by wind-heat in the Spleen meridian; Jiao Chuang resembles pepper, appearing red and hard, caused by damp-heat in the Spleen meridian. Both conditions should first be treated with bloodletting/washing, followed by the administration of Chu Feng Qing Pi Yin. For Jiao Chuang, increase the dosage of Huang Qin, Huang Lian, and Sheng Di Huang; for Feng Su, increase the dosage of Jing Jie and Fang Feng.
