Chest bi is excess qi, middle fullness is deficiency; Qi division with fluid retention is distinct here. Fuyang pulse is weak and slow, cun pulse is slow and choppy; seeking from these two places reveals the disease root. Obstruction of yin qi causes bone pain, obstruction of yang qi causes severe body coldness. If yin qi passes forward, numbness occurs; if yang qi passes forward, aversion to cold and shivering. When yin and yang harmonize, qi flows; when qi turns, it disperses, distinguishing excess and deficiency. Excess leads to passing gas, deficiency leads to urinary incontinence.
