Treats carbuncles, back sores, and various types of swelling and toxicity. In the initial stage, when symptoms such as aversion to cold and fever, stiffness and spasm of the four limbs, internal heat with irritability and thirst, and constipation appear, use this formula to release the exterior and purge the interior. Jie Sui (Schizonepetae Spica), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Bai Zhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Chuan Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Ma Huang (Ephedrae Herba), Zhi Ren (Gardeniae Semen), Huang Qi (Astragali Radix), Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) are each 0.6 fen; Lian Qiao (Forsythiae Fructus), Yin Hua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos), Qiang Huo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Bo He (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Bai Shao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Jiao Zhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma Praeparatum), Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix), Hua Shi Mo (Talcum Powder) are each 1 qian; Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Mang Xiao (Natrii Sulfas) are each 2 qian. If the exterior syndrome is predominant, use Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) and Cong Bai (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus) as guides; if the interior syndrome is predominant, use Bai Mi (Mel) as a guide. Take the medicine to induce sweating or defecation.
Treats carbuncles, back sores, duikou sores, ding sores, breast abscesses, nameless swellings and toxicities, and all kinds of malignant ulcers. It can cause the swelling to dissipate internally and transform the toxin internally, which is then excreted through urine, resulting in dark and turbid urine. In severe cases, although complete dissipation may not occur, the condition can be transformed from severe to mild. Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Bei Mu (Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus), Hua Fen (Trichosanthis Radix), Ru Xiang (Olibanum), Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma Praeparatum - processed), Bai Ji (Bletillae Rhizoma), Zao Ci (Gleditsiae Spina), Chuan Shan Jia (Manis Squama - roasted), Yin Hua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos) are each 1 qian. Decoct with wine for oral administration. Retain the medicinal dregs, pound them into a paste, add 1 liang of Qiu Fu Rong Hua Ye (Hibiscus Mutabilis Flower and Leaf), grind into a fine powder, add five spoons of Bai Mi (Mel), mix evenly with the dregs, and apply externally to the ulcer. It will dissipate overnight. For severe cases, repeat administration and application.
Treats various ulcers at the stage where they are either formed or unformed, presenting neither exterior nor interior syndromes; thus, there is no aversion to cold externally and no constipation internally, only redness, swelling, pain, and high, hard lumps with heads. Take this formula to clear heat and resolve toxicity. Zao Ci (Gleditsiae Spina), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Chen Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Lian Qiao (Forsythiae Fructus), Chai Hu (Bupleuri Radix), Sheng Huang Qi (Astragali Radix), Cang Zhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma - stir-fried) are each 1 qian; Hua Fen (Trichosanthis Radix), Chuan Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Bai Shao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Jin Yin Hua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos), Hong Hua (Carthami Flos) are each 0.5 fen. Decoct with water for oral administration. For female patients, add Xiang Fu Zi (Cyperi Rhizoma), stir-fried with Tong Bian (Child's Urine).
Treats carbuncles, ding toxins, and various ulcers with both exterior and interior heat syndromes, characterized by extreme thirst in the mouth. Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix), Sheng Huang Qi (Astragali Radix), Tiao Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Chuan Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Fa Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma Praeparatum), Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix), Bai Shao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Zhu Ye (Bambusae Folium) are each 1 qian; Sheng Di (Rehmanniae Radix), Shi Gao (Gypsum Fibrosum - crushed) are each 2 qian. Use Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) and Deng Xin Cao (Junci Medullae) as guides.
Treats various swelling toxicities with unbearable pain. This is due to qi deficiency failing to overcome the toxin. Taking this formula will cause unformed ulcers to dissipate and formed ulcers to suppurate without the need for knives or needles; necrotic flesh will detach naturally. It also treats falls and blows. Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix), Sheng Huang Qi (Astragali Radix), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Chao Bai Shao (Paeoniae Radix Alba - stir-fried), Chuan Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Shu Di (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata), Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Chen Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Su Ke (Papaveris Capsula)
