以上三方皆系各项喉症历年经验，白喉重者尤须守方多服，自有奇效。如或风热喉痛或
红或肿喉症轻者，均可酌量加减服之。此诚喉科起死回生之至宝仙方也。

生玉竹五钱，怀山药四钱，茯苓三钱，天花粉二钱，大生地三钱，女贞子三钱，酒芍二
钱，制熟地四钱，寸麦冬三钱（去心），制首乌四钱。
Borax (Pengsha) 1 liang, Yuanming Powder (Yuanmingfen) 3 qian, Dan Nan Xing (Arisaema cum Bile) 2 qian, Bai Yao Jian (Myrobalan Pill) 3 pieces, He Zi Rou (Pericarpium Chebulae) 2 qian, Bing Pian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 3 fen. Grind all together into an extremely fine powder. Take 1 liang of large Wumei meat (Fructus Mume), pound it into a paste, and form pills the size of a longan seed. Each time, take one pill, hold it in the mouth to dissolve slowly, and swallow; this yields miraculous effects!
This formula governs the initial stage of various throat disorders, as well as epidemic white throat (Bai Hou), Chan Hou Feng (Entangling Throat Wind), Suo Hou Feng (Locked Throat Wind), Dan E (Single Tonsillar Swelling), Shuang E (Double Tonsillar Swelling), and Feng Re Huo Hou (Wind-Heat Fire Throat). Fen Ge Gen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix) 2 qian, Jiang Can (Bombyx Batryticatus) 2 qian, Da Sheng Di (Rehmanniae Radix Recens) 3 qian, Dou Gen (Millettiae Speciosae Radix) 2 qian, Chan Tui (Cicadae Periostracum) 1 qian, Dong Sang Ye (Mori Folium) 2 qian, Chao Zhi Ren (Gardeniae Semen Preparatum) 2 qian, Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix) 2 qian, Mu Tong (Akebiae Caulis) 2 qian, Zhe Bei Mu (Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus) 3 qian, Sheng Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) 1 qian, with 3 fresh Qing Guo (Olea europaea var. sativa) as guides. If fresh Qing Guo is unavailable, dried olives may be used instead. Decoct in water and take orally. For mild cases, three to five doses are sufficient, until recovery. If redness and swelling persist, take the subsequent formula.
