Regardless of carbuncles, toxic sores, or tinea pedis (Hong Kong foot), if pain and swelling occur, this prescription is used to decoct a soup for washing the affected area, yielding extremely miraculous effects. Jingjie (Schizonepetae Herba), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Tougucao (Euphorbiae Humifusae Herba), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Gegen (Puerariae Lobatae Radix), each five qian (approx. 18.75g), are used with two jin (approx. 750ml) of vinegar, plus water to decoct a soup. Fumigate first, then wash several times; the effect is miraculous.
Additionally, for treating "Sha Mu" leg swelling and concomitant tinea pedis pain: Use a large amount of fir wood shavings (planer shavings), decoct into a thick soup, and soak/wash daily; gradual recovery will naturally occur.
Furthermore, for sores on the calf with oozing yellow fluid, itching, pain, ulceration, growing around the tibia, named Jin Chuang (Shin Ulcer): Decoct sour pomegranate peel in cold water, let it cool, and soak/wash daily; prolonged washing leads to self-healing.
Use about one jin (approx. 500g) of tofu dregs, stir-fry until hot, mix with three to four liang (approx. 112-150g) of pork lard, pound together until paste-like, and apply to the affected area. Healing occurs overnight.
Dip water chestnut (Heqiao, Dioscorea opposita) in iron rust powder and rub the affected area; immediate healing ensues. The iron rust powder is scraped from guns or cannons.
Pound fresh banana root (Jiaogulan, Musa basjoo) until pasty and apply. Alternatively, pound Chinese cabbage (Baicai, Brassica rapa var. pekinensis) and apply; both are effective.
For toxic sores above the knee, if not treated urgently, delay makes them difficult to save. Urgently use glutinous rice stir-fried into cooked rice, apply while hot to the knee. Two or three applications cause resolution. If unresolved, reapply until healed. Dispose of the applied material by pouring it into a fish pond.
Use pigeon droppings, any quantity, calcined to retain properties, ground into fine powder. For dry sores, mix with tung oil, spread on paper-backed plasters, and apply. If yellow fluid exudes, add a small amount of Fei Huangdan (Calcined Lead Monoxide) and sprinkle directly; healing occurs within a few applications.
Treats new or chronic ulcers in men and women that have persisted for years, rotting and foul-smelling. Also treats foot sores and all types of carbuncles, boils, and toxic sores. It removes necrotic tissue, generates muscle, and promotes healing. This is a secret surgical formula, and the powder is called Zhenzhu San (Pearl Powder).
Roasted Gypsum (Fei Shigao, Calcined Gypsum Fibrosum) one jin (approx. 500g) is ground to an extremely fine powder. Fei Dongdan (Calcined Red Lead, Minium) one liang (approx. 37.5g) is purified. Mix the two evenly, sieve, and grind again. To treat leg ulcers, mix with pure sesame oil, apply, cover with oil paper, and change once daily. Do not wash with tea water, as moisture may slow healing. If women experience recurrence during menstruation despite prior healing, reapplying after recurrence leads to complete cure.
