It is also suitable for cases where yuan qi (original qi) is weak and the body cannot tolerate diaphoretic (sweat-inducing) herbs for exterior wind-cold invasion, serving as an alternative. For cases involving sexual intercourse followed by exertion and cold invasion, or exertion and cold invasion followed by intercourse, Fuzi (Aconite Lateral Root) should be added urgently. I believe that the human body relies primarily on the spleen and stomach. When spleen-stomach qi is sufficient, the lungs receive nourishment; when lung qi is abundant, fluids are naturally generated; as fluids ascend, heart fire descends, achieving the interaction of water and fire, thereby establishing the harmonious state of heaven and earth. Once the spleen and stomach are deficient, the other four zang organs lose their vitality. Therefore, Mr. Li Dongyuan wrote treatises such as *Pi Wei Lun* (Treatise on the Spleen and Stomach) and *Wai Nei Shang Bian Huo Lun* (Distinguishing Between External Injury and Internal Damage), repeatedly emphasizing the consolidation of the spleen and stomach as the root principle. His Buzhong Yiqi Tang is placed at the head of all formulas. One can understand his original intent from this. Hence it is said that "tonifying the spleen is superior to tonifying the kidney," which is precisely what is meant. The aforementioned symptoms are briefly listed; the rest should be inferred by analogy. Thus, they are noted at the beginning of the attached formulas to clarify my intention.
