Place *Baiji* powder (Rhizoma Bletillae) in a cup, add water to let it settle. Apply with paper. If using ointment, do not use flesh-regenerating medicines; the formula is listed earlier. External application of yellow medicine: *Chantui* (Periostracum Cicadae), *Jiangcan* (Bombyx Batryticatus).
Another prescription: Leaves of luffa (*Sigua Ye*), scallion with roots (*Lianxu*), white part of scallion (*Congbai*), and chives (*Jiu*).
Another prescription: Ash from burning roots and seedlings of *Canger* (Xanthium sibiricum), ash from white plums (*Baijianmei*), and indigo (*Landian*) are best.
Grind all into fine powder, mix with vinegar, and apply around the sore, leaving the center open. When the toxin discharges and dries, keep moistening with vinegar until healed. If symptoms persist, add the previously mentioned external applications, *Huadu Sanxue Badu San* (Detoxification, Blood-Activating, and Toxin-Pulling Powder), for immediate effect.
For Ding sores with depressed tops (indicating internalized toxin), specifically treating Ding sores on the back, various malignant sores, boils, and cases where pus does not dry up: Use iron rust (*Tiexiu*), amount unspecified, grind into fine powder, mix with vinegar, and apply to the Ding sore. Within moments, the toxin will naturally protrude, and pus will dry up, yielding immediate results.
This secret formula acts quickly to reduce internal swelling.
Ingredients: *Qianghuo* (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), *Duhuo* (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), *Qingpi* (Exocarpium Citri Reticulatae Viride - use more), *Fangfeng* (Saposhnikoviae Radix - use more), *Huanglian* (Coptidis Rhizoma), *Chishao* (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), *Xixin* (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), *Gancao Jie* (Node of Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), *Chantui* (Periostracum Cicadae), *Jiangcan* (Bombyx Batryticatus), *Jiaolian* (Polygoni Multiflori Caulis - equal parts).
Modifications: Add *Heche* (Placenta Hominis), *Zelan* (Lycopus Lucidus Herba), *Jinyinhua* (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos); if there is pus, add *Shouwu* (Polygoni Multiflori Radix), *Baizhi* (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix); to promote bowel movement, add *Qingmuxiang* (Aucklandiae Radix), *Dahuang* (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), *Zhizi* (Genipi Fructus), *Qianniu* (Pharbitidis Semen); if the disease is in the foot, add *Mugua* (Chaenomelis Fructus).
Cut the above herbs finely. For each dose of five qian, first take one dose mixed with Zelan (use fewer leaves) and Jinyinhua, each one liang, plus ten slices of fresh ginger. Pound them together until mushy, stir with good wine, and take hot. Those who do not drink wine should decoct with water instead. Then, decoct with one and a half zhan of wine and water, plus ten slices of fresh ginger, until reduced, and take hot. The treatment is considered effective when sweating occurs. After symptoms subside, add two qian of Dahuang, decoct, and take hot. Follow with a laxative dose to eliminate residual toxins. Although the ingredients may seem unrelated to the condition at first glance, the effect is rapid and miraculous, with no failures recorded across multiple uses. If other syndromes appear, modify the prescription accordingly for quick resolution.
If irritability and vomiting occur, add one qian of Gancao Jie and bean flour, taken with sour plum water. For retching and nausea, add Rushen (Olibanum) and bean flour, taken with Licorice decoction. Swallow Purple Placenta (*Zihecao*) and old ginger with a mouthful of rice vinegar. Irritability and vomiting termed "Latent Summerheat" should be treated with Zhusha Wuling San (Cinnabar and Five-Ingredient Powder with Poria). For retching, add Mudingxiang (Cardamomi Fructus) and Shilian. If uncontrolled, use Buhuanjin Zhengqi San (Unchanging Golden Upright Qi Powder), adding Renshen (Ginseng Radix) and Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix). If vomiting persists due to excessive water intake and cold extremities, swallow Xiangru San (Elsholtzia Powder) with Xiaoshu Wan (Summerheat-Relieving Pill). If coldness persists, add Xuan Mugua and Qianniu. For irritability, add Maidong (Ophiopogonis Tuber), Chishao, Zhizi, and Dengcao (Junci Medulla). For tidal fever, add Beichaihu (Bupleuri Radix), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Danzhu (Bambusa Textilis Caulis), and Simaogen (Imperatae Rhizoma). For blurred vision, add small amounts of Zhusha (Cinnabar), Xionghuang (Realgar), and Shexiang (Moschus). For abdominal distension, add Yiyiren (Coicis Semen) and Hanshuishi (Halloysitum Rubrum). For spontaneous diarrhea, add Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Baifuling (Poria with Hostwood), Roudoukou (Myristicae Semen), and Migke (Papaveris Pericarpium). For unceasing abdominal pain, add Nanmuxiang (Costi Radix) and Rushen. For wheezing and cough, add Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Beimu (Fritillariae Bulbus), and a little honey. For headache, add Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Baizhi, and Congbai; if pain persists, add Luobozij (Brassicae Semens), Chuanxiong, and Congbai, pound into paste, and apply to the Taiyang acupoint to stop pain. For excessive phlegm-saliva, add Sheng Aiweiye (Fresh Artemisia argyi leaf tip), pound with rice vinegar to extract juice, and use to clear phlegm by spitting. For sore throat, add Shandougen (Sophorae Tonkinensis Radix), Lingxiaogen, Zhizi, Danzhuye (Bambusa Leaf), Aye (Artemisiae Argyi Folium), and Dengcao. For constipation, add Jiang-zhi Chishao (Ginger-processed Red Peony Root), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus), Dafupi (Arecae Pericarpium). For urinary retention, add Chishao, Chifuling (Red Poria), Mutong (Akebiae Caulis), Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen), and Dengcao. For hematuria, add Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens) and Cheqian. For epistaxis, add Yehonghua (Carthami Flos Wild), Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix), Ou jie (Nymphaeae Rhizomatis Node), and raw Jiangpi (Zingiberis Cortex). For bone-steaming fever, add Simaogen. For absent pulse, take Ershisi Wei Liuqi Yin (Twenty-Four-Ingredient Qi-Circulating Decoction). If the sore is painless and the head does not rise, moxa three zhuang; if still painless, it is incurable. This secret formula, with added leaves, rapidly resolves internal swelling and is beneficial for life.
