上九味。捣罗为散，每服一钱半匕，荆芥煎汤调下，食后临卧各一服，大治时疾后、余
毒上攻眼目。

上四味。粗捣筛，每服五钱匕，以水一盏半，煎取八分，去滓食后，临卧再服。
治热风目肿。豉心丸方
豉心（二两） 黄连（去须三两）
上二味。捣罗为末，炼蜜和丸，梧桐子大，每服三十丸，食后温水下。
治眼风肿。吹鼻散方
枸杞白皮 鸡子白皮（等分）
上二味。捣罗为散，又研令极细，每日三上，吹鼻内。
治风热攻眼。羚羊角丸方
羚羊角（镑） 蔓荆实（去皮） 甘菊花（微炒） 山栀子仁（各一两半） 防风（去
叉二两半）
蕤仁（去壳） 赤芍药 大麻子仁（研） 麦门冬（去心焙） 朴硝（研各三两）
上一十味。捣研为末，炼蜜和丸，如梧桐子大，每服三十丸，熟水下，食后。
治风热目赤肿痛。洗眼秦皮汤方

上七味。 咀如麻豆大，以淡浆水四升，煎取二升，去滓微温一合，洗眼慎风。
治目风，睑 暴肿，日渐长大，如梅李核，或 肉疼痛，或小儿疳障。胡黄连散方

上五味。捣研为散，每用二钱匕，用猪子肝二两，竹刀细锉，以新汲水三合搅和，滤
取汁调下，小儿每服一钱匕。
治目风肿攀睛肤翳赤脉肿 。圆灵丸方
苍术（四两） 甘草（一两） 荆芥穗（二两） 牵牛子（用四两捣取末一两） 黄柏

上五味。并生，捣罗为末，用蒸饼去皮，以蜜水蘸，令干湿得所，杵和丸如弹子大，每
服一丸，食后以荆芥茶嚼下，日三服。
治肝脏壅热，上冲眼目，令睑肉风肿。黄连丸方

上二味。捣罗为散，每用二钱匕，水二盏，银石器内，煎及一盏，去滓乘热淋洗。
Discussion states: When Liver Qi has heat and rushes upward to affect the eyelids, it causes sudden swelling of the eyelid flesh. If wind-cold pathogens invade this condition, the pathogenic factors coagulate and do not dissipate. In severe cases, the swelling enlarges, resembling a plum or cherry pit; hence, it is termed "Wind Swelling."
Treatment for all types of eye pain and swelling caused by Wind pathogens. Yinchen Hao San (Artemisiae Scopariae Powder) Formula:
Artemisiae Scopariae Herba (Yinchen Hao), Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjie Sui), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo, removed rhizome head), Equiseti Hiemalis Herba (Muzei, chopped), Inulae Flos (Xuanfu Hua), Viticis Fructus (Manjing Shi), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, roasted and chopped), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Cangzhu, soaked in rice wash water overnight, sliced, and baked), Tribuli Fructus (Jilizi, lightly stir-fried and thorns removed), Haliotidis Concha (Shijueming), Cassiae Semen (Juemingzi). (All ingredients in equal proportions).
The above twelve ingredients are crushed, sieved, and made into a powder. Take one qianbi (approx. 3-5g) per dose, mixed with fresh cold water. Administer at any time, three times daily.
Treatment for eye pain and swelling caused by Wind. Fangfeng Wan (Saposhnikoviae Pill) Formula:
Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng, removed twigs, 2 liang), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin, removed seedlings and leaves, 1.5 liang), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi, 1.5 liang), Leonuri Fructus (Chongweizi, 2 liang), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin, removed black heart, 1 liang), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng, chopped and stir-fried, 1 liang), Plantaginis Semen (Cheqianzi, 2 liang), Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhimu, 2 liang), Ginseng Radix (Renshen, 1 liang), Scrophulariae Radix (Xuanshen, 1 liang).
The above ten ingredients are crushed, sieved, and made into powder. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take thirty pills per dose, swallowed with rice drink, after meals.
Treatment for eye Wind swelling, combined with diseases such as corneal opacity (Yi Mo). Chanke San (Cicada Slough Powder) Formula:
Cicadae Periostracum (Chanke), Lycii Cortex (Digupi), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, from Xuanzhou, removed threads), Moutan Cortex (Mudan, removed heart), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Baizhu), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Cangzhu, soaked in rice wash water overnight, sliced, and baked), Chrysanthemi Flos (Juhua). (Each 1 liang). Gentianae Radix et Rhizoma (Longdan, 0.5 liang), Benincasae Semen (Tianguazi, 0.5 sheng).
The above nine ingredients are crushed, sieved, and made into a powder. Take 1.5 qianbi per dose, mixed with decoction of Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjie). Administer after meals and before retiring. This formula effectively treats eye attacks caused by residual toxins following epidemic febrile diseases.
Treatment for Wind-Heat toxic qi suddenly rushing to the eyes causing swelling, where the sclera resembles blisters, accompanied by pain preventing sleep. Zhizi Tang (Gardenia Decoction) Formula:
Gardeniae Fructus (Shanzhizi Ren), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma), Cassiae Semen (Juemingzi, lightly stir-fried), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin, removed black heart, each 3 fen), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, removed threads), Isatidis Folium Dryum (Ganlan Ye), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang, chopped and stir-fried, each 1 liang).
The above seven ingredients are coarsely crushed and sifted. Take 5 qianbi per dose, add 1.5 cups of water, boil until reduced to 0.8 cup, filter out dregs, and add 0.5 qianbi of Natrii Sulfas (Puxiao) powder. Boil again, let cool to warm temperature, and take. Take another dose before retiring.
Treatment for eye Wind swelling, heat, and pain. Dahuang Tang (Rhubarb Decoction) Formula:
Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang, chopped and stir-fried, 4 liang), Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang, removed roots and joints, 2 liang), Inulae Flos (Xuanfu Hua, 2 liang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, roasted and chopped, 1 liang), Gardeniae Fructus (Shanzhizi Ren, 2 liang).
The above five ingredients are coarsely crushed and sifted. Take 5 qianbi per dose, add 1.5 cups of water, boil until reduced to 0.8 cup, filter out dregs, and add 0.5 qianbi of Natrii Sulfas (Puxiao) powder. Take after meals, and another dose before retiring.
Treatment for eye Wind swelling, redness, distending pain, abundant toxic heat, and tearing. Zhishi Tang (Immature Bitter Orange Decoction) Formula:
Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhishi, removed pulp and bran-roasted), Sophorae Flavescentis Radix (Kushen), Plantaginis Semen (Cheqianzi). (Each 1 liang), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, removed threads, 0.5 liang).
The above four ingredients are coarsely crushed and sifted. Take 5 qianbi per dose, add 1.5 cups of water, boil until reduced to 0.8 cup, filter out dregs. Take after meals, and another dose before retiring.
Treatment for Wind-Heat causing eye swelling. Shixin Wan (Fermented Soybean Heart Pill) Formula:
Sojae Semens Praeparatum (Shixin, 2 liang), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, removed threads, 3 liang).
The above two ingredients are crushed, sieved, and made into powder. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take thirty pills per dose, swallowed with warm water after meals.
Treatment for eye Wind swelling. Chuibi San (Nasal Insufflation Powder) Formula:
Lycii Cortex (Gouqi Baipi), Gallus Galli Albumen Membrana (Jizi Baipi). (Equal proportions).
The above two ingredients are crushed, sieved, and ground extremely fine. Apply to the nose three times daily via insufflation.
Treatment for Wind-Heat attacking the eyes. Lingyangjiao Wan (Antelope Horn Pill) Formula:
Saiga Tatarica Cornu (Lingyangjiao, shaved), Viticis Fructus (Manjing Shi, peeled), Chrysanthemi Indici Flos (Ganjuhua, lightly stir-fried), Gardeniae Fructus (Shanzhizi Ren). (Each 1.5 liang), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng, removed twigs, 2.5 liang), Prunus Persica Seed (Ruiren, shelled), Paeoniae Radix Rubra (Chishaoyao), Cannabis Fructus (Dama Zi Ren, pounded), Ophiopogonis Tuber (Maidong, removed heart and baked), Natrii Sulfas (Puxiao, pounded). (Each 3 liang).
The above ten ingredients are crushed, ground into powder, and mixed with refined honey to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take thirty pills per dose, swallowed with cooked water after meals.
Treatment for Wind-Heat causing redness and painful swelling of the eyes. Qinpi Tang (Fraxinus Decoction for Eye Washing) Formula:
Fraxini Cortex (Qinpi), Prunus Persica Seed (Ruiren), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao). (Each 1.5 liang), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin, removed seedlings and leaves, 1 liang), Gardeniae Fructus (Zhizi Ren, 7 pieces), Phyllostachys Viridis Folium (Kuzhuye, 50 leaves), Natrii Chloridum (Qingyan, a small amount).
The above seven ingredients are cut into sizes similar to hemp seeds. Add 4 sheng of light fermented grain water, boil until reduced to 2 sheng, filter out dregs. Take 1 he of the liquid, warm slightly, and wash the eyes. Avoid wind.
Treatment for eye Wind, sudden eyelid swelling that gradually enlarges like a plum or cherry pit, or eyelid flesh pain, or pediatric malnutrition-related corneal opacity (Gan Zhang). Huhuanglian San (Coptidis Rhizoma Substitute Powder) Formula:
Cosmoscorodes Radix (Huhuanglian), Chrysanthemi Flos (Juhua). (Each 2 liang), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin, removed black heart), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang, chopped), Jingquanshi (Well Spring Stone). (Each 1 liang).
The above five ingredients are crushed, ground, and made into a powder. Use 2 qianbi per dose. Take 2 liang of pig liver, finely chop with a bamboo knife, mix with 3 he of fresh cold water, stir, filter to extract juice, and use this juice to dissolve the powder. For children, take 1 qianbi per dose.
Treatment for eye Wind swelling, pterygium-like growths, corneal opacity, red vessels, and swelling. Yuanling Wan (Circle Spirit Pill) Formula:
Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Cangzhu, 4 liang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 1 liang), Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjie Sui, 2 liang), Sedgeae Fructus (Qianniu Zi, take 4 liang, pound to obtain 1 liang of powder), Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai, removed rough bark, 1 liang).

Use steamed dough (removed skin), dipped in honey water to achieve appropriate moisture content, knead, and form pills the size of bullet shots. Take one pill per dose, chewed down with Jingjie tea after meals, three times daily.
