Commentary: The disease of wind wandering injection pain is characterized by pain that occurs in various locations without a fixed site. When qi and blood flow smoothly and the sinews and vessels are harmonious, the flesh and bones remain supple and agile. However, once there is any disharmony, wind pathogens invade due to deficiency and travel together with qi and blood, causing the Ying (Nutritive) and Wei (Defensive) energies to become stagnant and obstructed. Pain ensues wherever the pathogen lodges; thus, it is termed "wandering injection pain."
