Jueyin Wind-Wood governs the Heaven Qi, Shaoyang Minister-Fire governs the Earth Qi. The central movement is Shaogong Earth Movement. The year's Earth Qi is insufficient, and the qi transformation operates behind schedule. This is the Era of Beijian (Era of Humble Supervision, referring to years with insufficient Earth movement).
When Shangjiao (Excess Wood) prevails, there is "Nao" (disturbance and unrest).
Dampness transforms, followed by Fire-Heat. Winning and Repaying qi alternate, causing Heat diseases to spread. Follow the pattern of its Qi and movement; do not allow pathogenic factors to overcome righteous qi. The annual qi is suitable for...
Before the middle of the year, Heaven Qi is governed by Jueyin. Wherever Jueyin arrives, it becomes a Wind Mansion. If Wind excess prevails, the great void becomes dim, clouds and mist cause disturbance. Cold generates within Spring Qi.

After the middle of the year, Earth Qi is governed by Shaoyang. Wherever Shaoyang arrives, it brings scorching heat. If Fire excess exists internally, flames shine brightly in the suburbs. Cold and heat alternate, and the people suffer from Zhu Xie (acute diarrhea/dysentery).
Earth movement is insufficient, so grasses and trees flourish.
If the Four Corners (transitions of seasons)...
Due to Repayment Qi, sudden pain occurs in the lower part...
The year's upper qi approaches Jueyin...
First Qi: From the beginning of Si hour on Da Han day of Wuchen year to the exact Mao hour on Chunfen day of this year, totaling 60 days and 87.5 ke. The main position is Shaojiao Wood, guest qi...
People suffer from cold in the lower right. The treatment method should address the Yangming guest qi: tonify with Sour, drain with Pungent, and disperse with Bitter. Annual grains should be Cang (blue/black), intercalary grains should be Shu (millet); thus, Dryness pathogen will cause no harm.
Second Qi: From exact Mao hour on Chunfen day to exact Chou hour on Xiaoman day, totaling over 60 days. Main position is Taizheng Fire, guest qi is Taiyang Water, central Earth movement is seen. Dampness and Cold combine virtue, executing the transformation of comfort and flourishing. If Cold does not depart, flowers do not bloom; snow water freezes; killing Qi executes changes, frost descends...
Name Grass Upper Jiao, cold rain arrives frequently, Yang Qi recovers transformation. People suffer from heat in the middle. Treatment method should address Taiyang guest qi: tonify with Bitter, drain with Salty, firm Yin with Bitter, moisten with Pungent. Annual grains should be Cang, intercalary grains should be Ji (broomcorn millet); thus, Cold pathogen will cause no harm.
Third Qi: From beginning of Yin hour on Xiaoman day to beginning of Zi hour on Dashu day, totaling over 60 days. Main position is Taizheng Fire, guest qi is Jueyin Wood, central Earth movement is seen. Wood and Fire share virtue, governed by Earth movement. Earth qi...
Wind transformation acts concurrently; Heavenly administration spreads, wind rises on time. People suffer from tearing, tinnitus, dizziness, and vertigo. Treatment method should address Jueyin guest qi: use Pungent... drain with Sour, soothe with Sweet. Annual grains should be Cang, intercalary grains should be Dao (rice); thus, Wind pathogen will cause no harm.
Fourth Qi: From exact Zi hour on Dashu day to exact Xu hour on Qiufen day, totaling over 60 days. Main position is Shaogong Earth, guest qi is Shaoyin Fire, central Earth movement is seen. Earth occupies its position, superiorly approaching Shaoyin. Muggy heat arrives, Dampness and Heat contend, fighting in the upper left. People suffer from Jaundice and edema. Should treat Shaoyin guest qi: tonify with Salty, drain with Sweet, astringe with Sour. Annual grains should be Dan (red), intercalary grains should be Dou (beans); thus, Heat pathogen will cause no harm.
Fifth Qi: From beginning of Hai hour on Qiufen day, totaling over 60 days. Main position is Taishang Metal, guest qi is Taiyin Earth, central Earth movement is seen. Qi and movement are identical. Siqui is... Yin Qi spreads, Cold reaches the body, wind and rain occur. Should treat Taiyin guest qi: tonify with Sweet, drain with Bitter, intercalary grains should be Ma (hemp seeds); thus, Dampness pathogen will cause no harm. This Qi governs with Coolness; using Coolness without violation is called "using Coolness while avoiding Coolness"...
Final Qi: From exact Wei hour on Daxue day to exact Wei hour on Da Han day, totaling over 60 days. Main position is Shaoyu Water, guest qi is Shaoyang Fire, central... Commander. Yang Qi greatly transforms, hibernating insects appear, flowing water does not freeze, Earth Qi erupts, grasses grow, people feel comfortable. The disease is Wen Li (warm epidemic). Method should treat Shaoyang guest qi: tonify with Salty, drain with Sweet.
General principles of annual Qi: If Wind exceeds, there is Yangming repayment; if Fire exceeds, there is Taiyang repayment. Treatments follow the methods of Winning and Repaying respectively.
