Patients suffering from Xiao Zhong (Internal Consumption Disease) present with less thirst but increased food intake. This condition is also known as "Nei Xiao" (Internal Consumption). It arises from accumulated heat in the Spleen, causing rapid digestion of food. In some cases, it results from taking "Wu Shi" (Five Minerals) medicines, where heat accumulates internally within the Kidney. The nature of mineral drugs directs towards the Kidney; when the Kidney receives these minerals, it becomes full/excess (Shi), which generates internal heat. Excessive heat consumes body fluids and water, resulting in scanty urination. Additionally, deficiency-cold of the Zang-Fu organs and Qi deficiency may also lead to this disease.
