Wind-Damp-Cold Bi Syndrome: When the three pathogens of Wind, Dampness, and Cold combine to form Bi syndrome (Obstruction Syndrome), their invasion may vary in intensity. When Wind-Dampness is predominant, it is named Wind-Damp Bi.
Consequently, the skin and muscles suffer from widespread pain, or skin rashes (Urticaria) may appear. The Yang meridians distribute Yang Qi throughout the body. If Wind-Dampness invades the skin and muscles, it damages these Yang meridians, causing the flow of Yang Qi to slow down. This leads to flaccidity of joints and laxity of sinews and vessels. If Wind-Damp Bi pervades the entire body, it results in impairment of movement in the hands and feet.

Treatment for Waist and Leg Paralysis. [From *Bencao*]
Take one tiger spine, chop finely, then crush further with an axe on stone. Do the same for the front two legs. Place both on an iron bed and roast evenly over charcoal fire until oil oozes out. Seal in strong, unadulterated wine. Soak for seven days in spring/summer, twenty-one days in autumn/winter. Drink freely on an empty stomach. Large consumers limit to six or seven dou; small consumers to two dou. For cases over ten years, no more than three doses are needed. For cases under seven years, one dose is curative.
Another method: Take tiger tibia bones 5-6 cun long, scrape off meat and membrane, coat with butter, roast until golden brown, grind finely, place in a silk bag. Put the bag in a porcelain jar with one dou of wine, simmer gently over chaff fire for seven days. Consume as desired; mild diarrhea indicates cure.
For Zefeng (Robbing Wind) causing withered hands and bi in feet, with spasm of four limbs, Yinyu Jiu (Caulis Aristolochiae Yunnanensis Wine) is indicated.
