[Death by Hanging] Pinellia Rhizoma (Banxia): For patients with the "five types of sudden death" (referring to death by hanging, drowning, crushing, freezing, and fright), if there is still residual warmth in the heart region, blowing Pinellia powder into the nasal cavity can save them. Saponaria Officinalis Root (Zaojia) Powder: Blow into the ears and nose for the five types of sudden death. Dust from Roof Beams (Liangshangchen): Blow into the ears and nose for the five types of sudden death. Scallion Heart (Congxin): Pierce the ears and nose with the scallion heart to induce bleeding, which leads to recovery. Indigo Naturalis Juice (Lanzhi): Administer orally for death by hanging. Chicken Comb Blood (Jiguaxue): Gently hold the body, untie the rope without cutting it, place the patient supine, pull the hair tightly, have one person massage the chest and hypochondrium, and another person flex the arms and lower legs. [Death by Crushing] Sesame Oil (Mayou): If crushed by walls or objects but the heart region is still warm, make the patient sit cross-legged, pull the hair tightly, blow Pinellia powder into the nose to induce sneezing; administer a mixture of sesame oil and ginger juice. Other treatments are the same as for fractures (Zheshang). Fermented Soybean (Douchi): Decoct and administer for death by falling. Urine of a Young Boy (Tongniao): Administer heated.

[Death by Freezing] Ash from Kitchen Stove (Zaohui): For winter freezing death, if there is slight breath, stir-fry the ash, wrap it, and apply heat to the heart region; replace when cold. Once breath returns, give small amounts of wine and porridge. Do not approach fire, or death will ensue.
