Gynecological treatment prioritizes the regulation of menstruation. Merely observing cough and fever, one might solely employ lung-cooling herbs to hope for relief from coughing; however, this inadvertently damages the stomach qi, leading to abdominal pain, loose stools, aversion to food, and vomiting with reflux. This pattern of alternating cold and heat clearly indicates a disharmony of Ying (Nutrient) and Wei (Defensive) Qi. The disease stems from melancholy transforming into consumption, with emotional injury affecting the interior; thus, previous medications have been ineffective. It is proposed to use Wuji Tang.
Ren Shen (Ginseng), Chao Bai Shao (Stir-fried White Peony Root), Xian Qian Shi (Fresh Euryale Seed), Fu Ling (Poria), Zhi Gan Cao (Honey-fried Licorice), Chao Bian Dou (Stir-fried Broad Bean, peeled).
Previously, menstruation was regular. Since last winter, menstruation has occurred twice a month, accompanied by soreness and drooping of the Tianzhu bone (spine), sudden pain amidst a sensation of hunger discomfort in the heart, heat flushing on the head and face while the spine back, fingers, and toes remain constantly cold, and menstruation delayed by 40-50 days. This belongs to a disharmony of the Eight Extraordinary Vessels, caused by the insidious damage of Liver and Kidney Yin fluids. The treatment should nourish Yin and extinguish wind, hoping to replenish the extraordinary vessels.
Qing E Jiao (Clear Donkey-hide Gelatin), Lu Jiao Jiao (Deer Antler Gelatin), Gou Qi Zi (Goji Berry), Dang Gui Shen (Angelica Sinensis Root Body), Sheng Di Huang (Rehmannia Root), Yuan Wu Jiao (Turtle Shell Gelatin), Gui Yuan Rou (Longan Aril), Bai Shao Yao (White Peony Root), Tian Men Dong (Asparagus Tuber), Bai Fu Ling (White Poria).
Use a black-bone rooster (remove feathers, bones, feet, intestines, and viscera), combined with Qing Hao Juice (Artemisia Annua Juice), wine, vinegar, and water, boil to reduce and collect gelatin. Form into pills, taken with light salt water, once daily.
Menstruation has stopped for three months, accompanied by coughing and hemoptysis, steaming fever at night, and a rapid, forceful pulse on the left side. This indicates vexatious steaming of Yang Qi, attacking and reversing through various collaterals, preventing blood from gathering in the Chong (Penetrating) Vessel. If menstruation does not arrive in late autumn, it will likely worsen with chills, fever, and emaciation, forming Dry Blood Consumption.
Bie Jia (Turtle Shell), Quan Dang Gui (Whole Angelica Sinensis), Dan Pi (Moutan Bark), Shan Zha (Hawthorn Fruit), Sheng Di (Rehmannia Root), Bai Shao (White Peony Root), Chong Wei Zi (Chuanxiong Herba/Leonurus Fruit - *Note: Context suggests Leonurus*, but text says Chong Wei which is often Leonurus or Chuanxiong derivative, here interpreted as Leonurus/Motherwort based on formula context usually associated with blood stasis), Mai Dong (Ophiopogon Tuber).
In chronic illness, form and spirit gradually diminish, and the pulse becomes firm and large, indicating a pulse devoid of Stomach Qi. Last summer, there were loose stools, abdominal pain, and reduced appetite; liver-soothing and spleen-strengthening measures were taken, and Anwei Wan was taken in spring, but the generating Qi did not recover. In the years when a girl's Tian Gui (menstrual essence) first appears, if the Qi mechanism of the meridians is constrained and reversed, long-standing constraint transforms into heat and steaming, gradually presenting a withered and dry image, which is most concerning. It is recommended to adopt Wang Shishan’s method for treating Yu Lao (Constraint-induced Consumption).
Chuan Xiong (Ligusticum Rhizome), Bai Shao (White Peony Root), Hu Lian Rou (Lotus Seed Meat), Qing Hao (Artemisia Annua), Dang Gui (Angelica Sinensis), Shu Di (Prepared Rehmannia), Nan Zha Rou (Southern Hawthorn Flesh), Xiang Fu (Cyperus Rhizome).
The illness began with pain and flaccidity in the left limbs, as stated in the *Ling Shu*: "Injury to Yi (Intent) by sorrow causes limb paralysis." The Liver contains abundant Qi and Blood; excess Qi generates heat, and if Blood fails to nourish the vessels, Yang becomes increasingly empty, the Sea of Blood lacks storage, and menstruation ceases. Internal Wind carries Yang upward, causing dizziness and coughing up phlegm foam. During winter, when Heaven and Earth are closed and stored, the condition will not be fatal; however, in seasons when flowers bloom luxuriantly, there is concern for exacerbation. It is proposed to use the method of Calming the Liver and Harmonizing the Stomach, using Gan Mai Da Zao Tang. Wheat calms rebellion, dates and licorice benefit deficiency, following the *Nei Jing* principle: "The Liver suffers from tension; eat sweet substances to relieve it."
Gan Mai Da Zao Tang (Licorice, Wheat, and Jujube Decoction).
When Qi stagnates, Blood cannot flow; therefore, one must regulate the Qi within the Blood.
Si Wu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) plus Xiang Fu (Cyperus Rhizome), Zha Tan (Charred Hawthorn), Yi Mu Cao (Motherwort Herb).
A sluggish pulse and unsmooth menstruation, along with epigastric fullness after eating, are all due to emotional disharmony causing Liver-Spleen constraint.
Xiang Fu (Cyperus Rhizome), Guang Pi (Tangerine Peel), Kou Ren (Cardamom Seed), Dan Pi (Moutan Bark), Zha Tan (Charred Hawthorn), Fu Ling (Poria), Shen Qu (Medicated Leaven), Gou Teng (Uncaria Ramulus).
Menstruation has been absent for nine months, with heavy dragging pain in the lower abdomen. Palpation of the Shao Yin pulse reveals it to be choppy and small, not indicative of pregnancy. The Chong and Ren (Conception) Vessels are deficient and weak; there is fear of sudden severe bleeding (Beng).
Ba Zhen Tang (Eight Treasures Decoction), plus Sha Ren (Amomum Fruit).
Abdominal pain persists day and night, relieving upon passing gas; at night, palpation reveals a hard, protruding mass lying horizontally, indicating Liver constraint failing to soothe, causing a lack of Qi circulation in the Chong and Ren Vessels. With no menstruation, Ying and Wei are blocked, manifesting as alternating chills and fever.
Because diarrhea has persisted for a long time, Wind-Wood (Liver) has long overacting on Central Earth (Spleen/Stomach); harsh purgation is inappropriate.
Chuan Lian Zi (Toosendan Fruit), Dang Gui Shen (Angelica Sinensis Root Body), Qing Mu Xiang (Vladimiria Root), Shan Zha (Hawthorn Fruit), Long Dan Cao (Gentian Root), Xiao Hui Xiang (Fennel Fruit), Chao Ju He (Stir-fried Tangerine Seed), Qing Cong (Green Onion Stem).
Diarrhea and reduced appetite, absence of menstruation, accompanied by chills, fever, and cough without interruption. It is said that the illness arose from anger, and the presentation already resembles Consumption. Menstrual cessation due to Constraint Consumption is among the most difficult conditions to treat.
Ren Shen (Ginseng), Zheng Dong Zhu (Steamed Atractylodes Macrocephala), Zhi Cao (Honey-fried Licorice), Fu Ling (Poria), Guang Pi (Tangerine Peel), Bai Shao (White Peony Root).
Constraint injury leads to menstrual cessation, with bloating and difficulty in defecation.
Dang Gui Shen (Angelica Sinensis Root Body), Chuan Lian Zi (Toosendan Fruit), Chong Wei Zi (Motherwort Fruit), Xiao Hui (Fennel), Sheng Bai Shao (Raw White Peony Root), Ze Lan (Hydrocotyle Herb).
Absence of menstruation indicates a lack of Blood in the collaterals. Ancient texts state: "When Qi is abundant, Blood generates itself"; strict avoidance of promoting Blood stasis removal is necessary.
Ren Shen (Ginseng), Dang Gui (Angelica Sinensis), Mi Jiao Jiao (Elk Antler Gelatin), Fu Ling (Poria), Gui Xin (Cinnamon Heart), Yang Rou Jiao (Mutton Gelatin).
Tian Gui has never arrived; flesh is thin and complexion is sallow. Coughing and wheezing worsen when lying on the pillow; internal and external heat prevail at night, reducing with sweating at dawn. Phlegm secretion varies in thickness, and the throat always feels unsmooth. This indicates the thinnest congenital constitution and weak True Yin. Avoid needlework and embroidery; ensure peace and joy so that menstruation may arrive and heat dissipate; otherwise, it will become what is known as Dry Blood Consumption. Fumai Tang (Restore Pulse Decoction), remove Ma Ren (Hemp Seed).
Menstruation absent for two to three months, with lower abdominal pain, distension, and dragging sensation. Cold Hernia belonging to deficiency can be treated with Dang Gui Sheng Yang Mutton Soup.
Menstrual closure with dripping discharge. (Initial prescription)
Bai Ren (Cupressus Seed), Rou Cong Rong (Cistanche Stem), Nu Zhen Zi (Ligustrum Fruit), Yu Li Ren (Prunus Seed), Dang Gui (Angelica Sinensis), Chuan Shi Hu (Dendrobium Stem).

Bai Zi Ren (Biota Seed), Dang Gui Shen (Angelica Sinensis Root Body), Chuan Shi Hu (Dendrobium Stem), Nu Zhen Zi (Ligustrum Fruit), Yu Li Ren (Prunus Seed), Hei Dou (Black Soybean), Dan Cong Rong (Cistanche Stem).
Liver Bi (Obstruction) causes bloating extending to the epigastrium, abdominal enlargement with menstrual cessation, and scanty, difficult urination and defecation. (Initial prescription)
Ju Ye (Tangerine Leaf), Qing Pi (Green Tangerine Peel), Yin Chai Hu (Stellaria Root), Fu Ling Pi (Poria Skin), Qing Cong (Green Onion Stem), Zha Rou (Hawthorn Flesh), Wu Ling Zhi (Trogopterus Dung), Da Fu Pi (Areca Peel).
Blood coagulation forms a mass (Jia); abdominal distension is large like a jar. After taking Liver-soothing and Blood-promoting herbs for slight relief, continue with Zhen Sha Wan (Needle Sand Pill) for gentle attack.
This Consumption results from internal damage due to depression. Yang Earth (Spleen/Stomach) is overacted upon by Yin Wood (Liver). The Chong Vessel lacks Blood, leading to menstrual cessation, emaciation, Qi bloating, reduced appetite, and loose stools. The Five Fluids dry up daily and fail to ascend, causing dryness of the throat and tongue. There is still no desire for soup drinks. The *Nei Jing* states: "Diseases of the Two Yangs originate in the Heart and Spleen." Wind, wasting, and rising Qi are all manifestations of chronic damage transmission.
Ren Shen (Ginseng), Wu Mei Rou (Dark Plum Flesh), Nan Zha Rou (Southern Hawthorn Flesh), Fu Ling (Poria), Bai Shao (White Peony Root), Lao Su Geng (Old Perilla Stem).
Yin Epilepsy presents with a slow pulse, menstruation occurring once every two months.
Liu Wei Di Huang Wan (Six Ingredient Pill with Rehmannia) plus E Jiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin), Bai Shao (White Peony Root).
Menstruation arrives but is scanty and choppy; soup drinks enter the stomach and cause belching/vomiting. Previously prone to spitting saliva foam, with a trembling and fearful heart. Both Jue Yin and Yang Ming are rebellious; Long Hui Wan (Dragon Gallbladder Pill) is the main treatment.
Long Hui Wan (Dragon Gallbladder Pill), 2 qian per dose.
Menstruation is scanty and choppy, with diarrhea and sweating. The illness resulted from fright and terror, transmitting from Liver to Spleen; use Wuji Tang.
Wind movement and fluid deficiency cause abdominal pain, intestinal redness (blood in stool), menstrual cessation, night fever, and fright. Treatment focuses on Kidney and Liver.
Shu Di Tan (Charred Prepared Rehmannia), Yu Rou Tan (Charred Cornus Fruit), Zhi Cao (Honey-fried Licorice), Wu Wei Zi (Schisandra Berry), Bai Fu Shen (White Poria Spirit), Bai Shao (White Peony Root).
Since menstruation stopped in mid-August, eating induces vomiting. Physicians mistakenly treated it as pregnancy morning sickness. By the Minor Cold solar term, there was vertex headache, heart heat, and vomiting of clear saliva. Water medicines are tolerated, but any solid food causes immediate vomiting upon swallowing. There is a desire to sleep accompanied by sudden fright and tremors; the skin surface and feet are cold, while the head and face are hot in the afternoon. Abdominal distension and heart/abdominal pain are present. The illness originated from anger, confirming Liver Wood invading Stomach. The greatest fear is sudden syncope.
Jin Ling Zi (Toosendan Fruit), Hei Shan Zhi (Black Gardenia Fruit), Chao Ban Xia (Stir-fried Pinellia Tuber), Sheng Jiang Zhi (Ginger Juice), Yan Hu Suo (Corydalis Rhizome), Chao Xiang Chi (Stir-fried Fermented Soybean), Fu Ling (Poria).
Menstruation absent for two months, abdominal shape enlarged with palpable masses; eyes closing before sleep, initially feeling cold followed by gradual heat and profuse sweating. This all results from constraint injury...
Dang Gui Xu (Angelica Sinensis Tail), Chong Wei Zi (Motherwort Fruit), Wu Ling Zhi (Trogopterus Dung), Xiao Hui Xiang (Fennel Fruit), Xiao Xiang Fu (Small Cyperus Rhizome), Chao Zha Rou (Stir-fried Hawthorn Flesh).
Urgent coughing with hard abdominal distension; at night Qi rushes downward, and the lower body feels cold; there has been a long-standing mass (Jia). Inquiry reveals amenorrhea for three years. This turbid Qi and fluid obstruction blocks blood vessels, causing distension in the collaterals.
Gui Zhi (Cinnamon Twig), Dan Jiang (Light Ginger), Wu Wei Zi (Schisandra Berry), Fu Ling (Poria), Bai Zhu (Atractylodes Rhizome), Bei Xi Xin (Northern Asarum).
Sudden severe bleeding (Beng), hypochondriac masses with abdominal distension, menstruation absent for five months, caused by deficiency of the collaterals.
Cong Bai Wan (Scallion White Pill).
Take with decoction of Hong Zao (Red Date) and Qi Ai (Qichu Mugwort).
Anger induced massive hematemesis (liters), recurring after a month. Self-reported constant lower abdominal pain and nightly fever with sweating. Menstruation must flow freely to avoid Dry Blood Consumption.
Cu Zhe Bie Jia (Vinegar-processed Turtle Shell), Hu Huang Lian (Picrorhiza Rhizome), Chao Jiao Yan Hu (Stir-fried Charred Corydalis), Chao Tao Ren (Stir-fried Peach Seed), Chong Wei Zi (Motherwort Fruit), Chao Zha Rou (Stir-fried Hawthorn Flesh).
Rapid pulse with delayed menstruation, prickly heat rash on the face; Liver Yang and Internal Wind reverse and rise, reducing stomach function and appetite.

Numbness in the left limbs, delayed menstruation with old pathology, nulliparity in middle age. Rapid pulse, abdominal distension upon anger. Harmonizing Liver and Stomach Yang is the key to regulating menstruation.
Sheng Di (Raw Rehmannia), Dang Gui (Angelica Sinensis), Sha Ren (Amomum Fruit, stir-fried in salt water), Chao Zha Ren (Stir-fried Hawthorn Kernel), Dou Pi (Bean Peel), Xiang Fu (Cyperus Rhizome), Zhi Mu (Anemarrhena Rhizome).
Stomach pain for four years, originating from constraint and anger. Irregular menstruation, mass formation with abdominal distension, nausea, and diarrhea. Chronic illness enters the collaterals; simultaneously regulate the Blood aspect.

Constitution leans towards Heat, making Yin fluids easily depleted. In women, the Liver is the congenital foundation. Although menstruation is regular, it is scanty; the interior lacks storage, unable to interact with the Chong Vessel, which is the origin of... nurturing. All generating Qi and Yin-Blood root in Yang. Floating Yang causes Heat; weak Yin fails to retain Yang, causing constant spine/back pain. Treatment should focus on the Du (Governor) and Ren (Conception) Vessels.
Yuan Wu Ban (Turtle Shell Plate), Sang Piao Xiao (Mantis Egg Case), Dang Gui Shen (Angelica Sinensis Root Body), Xi Zi Qin (Fine Scutellaria), Lu Tai (Deer Fetus), Gou Qi Zi (Goji Berry), Gui Yuan Rou (Longan Aril).
Menstruation flows continuously without stopping, fearing extension into dripping leukorrhea. Subsequent encounters with urgency are treated as Yin weakness failing to hold internally.
Shu Di Tan (Charred Prepared Rehmannia), Qian Shi (Euryale Seed), Ai Tan (Charred Mugwort), Fu Shen (Poria Spirit), Hu Lian (Lake Lotus), Chao Gui Shen (Stir-fried Angelica Root Body).
Rapid pulse, cold lower jiao, continuous dripping menstruation, lower abdominal and lumbar/arm pain, rising fire with facial heat.
Gou Qi Zi (Goji Berry), Sheng Du Zhong (Raw Eucommia Bark), Sheng Di (Raw Rehmannia), Chao Ji Li (Stir-fried Tribulus Fruit), Chuan Shi Hu (Dendrobium Stem), Nu Zhen Zi (Ligustrum Fruit).
Zang organs belong to Yin; Yin deficiency generates internal Heat. Yang pulsation causes excessive menstruation resembling flooding and continuous leukorrhea. Treatment should strengthen and secure Yin.

At fifty, Tian Gui should cease, yet it is more abundant than before. The Chong and Ren Vessels are insecure, indicating the disease originates in the Lower Jiao. The pulse fails to bind the bones, and pain is locationless... Three pathogenic factors causing Bi differ. Medications have not reached the lower part; stomach injury and Liver sagging cause vomiting. The patient reports bitter taste, Qi blockage with retching, hanging like a banner. Due to Stomach deficiency and hostile Qi attacking and reversing, Xuan Fu Dai Zhe Tang is proposed.
Ren Shen (Ginseng), Chao Hei Chuan Jiao (Stir-fried Black Sichuan Pepper), Wu Mei Rou (Dark Plum Flesh), Fu Ling (Poria), Ding Tou (Nail-head [Aster]), Dai Zhe (Hematite), Sheng Bai Shao (Raw White Peony Root).
Winter Warmth fails to store; Liver Wood leaks excessively. Yang Ming pulse is deficient, and the Sea of Blood bleeds out of schedule, representing an image of insufficient substance and excessive function. The method should be Sour, Acrid, Sweet, and Slow, harmonizing Liver Yin and Yang. However, Bitter descent and draining not only hinder the Stomach but also aid depletion.
Zhi Gan Cao (Honey-fried Licorice), Gou Qi Zi (Goji Berry), Bai Zi Ren (Biota Seed), Sheng Bai Shao (Raw White Peony Root), Gui Yuan Rou (Longan Aril), Fu Ling (Poria).
Sudden severe bleeding causes excessive blood loss, leaving collaterals empty. Floating Yang combines with Internal Wind to move, causing palpitations and flaccid sinews. The Extraordinary Vessels are exhausted; illness occurs with every menstruation, making it hardest to regulate.
Chao Shu Di (Stir-fried Prepared Rehmannia), E Jiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin), Nu Zhen Zi (Ligustrum Fruit), Hu Lian Rou (Lotus Seed Meat), Bai Shao (White Peony Root), Han Lian Cao (Eclipta Herb).
Depression and frustration cause Yang to rise, Eight Extraordinary Vessels are disharmonious, lower body lacks containment, leading to episodes of sudden severe bleeding.

Chronic leakage turns into flooding; upper body has ulcerative lesions, making medication extremely difficult. Imitating one of the Seven Prescriptions of the *Nei Jing*, secure the lower leakage while slightly clearing the upper.
Cu Zhe Piao Xiao (Vinegar-processed Cuttlefish Bone), Qian Cao (Madder Root).
Decoct, filter clear, add Huang Qin (Scutellaria Root) and E Jiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin), boil dozens of times, take the clear liquid.
Menstrual leakage for three years, dripping yellow-white leukorrhea. Color and pulse do not respond to warmth; the power of securing-leakage soups and powders struggles to reach the Chong and Ren Vessels. The ancient *Ju Fang* contains Zhen Ling Dan. Take 60 pills every morning; this secures the Extraordinary Vessels. To seek complete cure, large doses of Ren Shen (Ginseng) are indispensable.
For a maiden whose menstruation first begins, she naturally fears heat. Seeking coolness due to heat injures the Chong and Ren Vessels, causing persistent leakage, purple blood color, abdominal pain relieved slightly by pressure. This is due to prior irregularity in menstruation. To harmonize the Blood vessels, one must assist in circulating Yin-to-Yang.
Qi Zi (Goji Berry), Sha Yuan (Astragalus Complanatus Seed), Lu Jiao Shuang (Deer Antler Frost), Ren Shen (Ginseng), Dang Gui (Angelica Sinensis), Xiao Hui (Fennel), Zi Shi Ying (Purple Quartz), Gui Xin (Cinnamon Heart).
For a fourteen-year-old maiden, there is no precedent for warm-tonifying hot herbs. Complexion is drained, pulse is weak; lower jiao feels cold before cold sets in, menstruation drips. This indicates non-interaction of Chong and Ren Qi. Winter should store Yang; use warm-tonifying and ascending Yang methods.

Blood stasis discharging spontaneously is favorable, but sudden reduction in form and spirit clearly indicates injury from accumulated fatigue. Blood loss requires Qi tonification; otherwise, there is concern for recurrent stasis.
Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction).
Menstrual leakage for over forty days, dark color, stasis rotting into clumps. Anger during illness caused chest/diaphragm distension and pain; after stasis discharge, slight relief. Treatment for leakage used Di (Rehmannia), Shao (Peony), Gui (Angelica), Jiao (Gelatin); the lower jiao did not benefit first, while the upper jiao suffered stagnation. Following classic principles, regulate the upper first.

Ren Shen (Ginseng), Dan Fu Zi (Light Aconite), Fu Ling (Poria), Zheng Zhu (Steamed Atractylodes), Dan Gan Jiang (Light Dried Ginger).
Vegetarian fasting for years, Spleen/Stomach chronically deficient. Malaria starts from extremities, inevitably invading the Middle Jiao; the Sea of Blood belongs to Yang Ming. Bitter and Acrid-dispersing herbs all damage the Stomach system. Although long ceased, pathogenic factors and drug flavors disturb Blood collaterals, causing sudden severe bleeding approaching collapse. Reviewing physicians' use of Tong Bian (Child Urine) and E Jiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin), salty and slippery nature is unsuitable for loose stools. Even Shu Di (Prepared Rehmannia) and Wu Wei Zi (Schisandra), tonifying and astringing Yin fluids, stop in the stomach and induce vomiting. Greasy and sour-turbid substances harm the stomach before benefiting the lower jiao. It is proposed to use Zhang Zhongjing's Lizhong Tang. Blood loss benefits from Qi tonification. When Kun Earth (Spleen) Yang rotates harmoniously, hoping for a pillar of support, if flavor perception and food intake return, it is a turning point. Among severe cases, do not neglect!

Ten years of infertility, major injury to Extraordinary Vessels, menstruation like flooding, whole-body tendon twitching, pain connecting from occiput to waist/lumbar region, reduced food intake, abdominal distension, dry retching with Qi rushing, pain resembling strangury. Generally, Extraordinary Vessels belong largely to Liver and Kidney. Kidney fails to grasp, Liver fails to store, meridian Qi and Blood diminish. How can they bind bones and fill the form? This disease is most prolonged and difficult to eradicate. Reviewing ancient methods, storing True Essence should be secured, meridians should be unblocked; neither biased cold nor biased heat treatments apply.

Generally, miscarriage at three months indicates internal timidity of Liver Yin, with Ren Vessel failing to assume responsibility. Current symptoms include spine/sacrum drooping, lower back soreness and flaccidity. Liver-Kidney and Extraordinary Vessels are deficient and fail to secure. Propose Sun Simiao's method.

Qi blockage with dry retching, unwillingness to eat. Pregnant four months, abdomen large as full-term, foot dorsum edema, diarrhea with blood discharge. Inquiry reveals two months of retention; at Autumn Equinox transition, blood suddenly discharged. This is Yang Ming Stomach deficiency, stagnant Qi attacking reversely. The Sea of Blood belongs to Yang Ming, causing dripping symptoms. Method should clear Heat and calm Middle; sudden distension often involves Heat patterns.

Pulse wiry on left and right, body numbness, cold limbs, epigastric distension, lack of hunger with acid regurgitation, due to Middle deficiency and internal stirring of Liver Qi. May-June governs Spleen/Stomach supporting Fetus; constitution cannot tolerate Bitter-Cold. Clearing Fire and breaking Qi-level treatments are inappropriate.
Ren Shen (Ginseng), Zhi Ke (Aurantium Fructus), Sheng Jiang Zhi (Ginger Juice), Ban Xia (Pinellia Tuber), Jie Geng (Platycodon Root).
Jue Yin Yang rushes upward, vomiting/reflux and abdominal pain, preventing Fetus from attacking upward; use Bitter-Cold clearing/draining method.

Fetal Qi grows daily, Qi mechanism of all meridians stagnates. Slight intake of food/water transforms into water-dampness, refusing to descend via Bladder, overflowing into skin causing edema, rushing to Lung causing cough/Qi rush, inability to sleep at night; Yin/Yang not separated, urination/defecation unsmooth. Persisting for a month, medication is ineffective. Need to puncture Taiyang acupoint to unblock Qi, ensuring safe delivery.

Pregnancy complicated by seasonal malaria, ancients first protect birth, assisting in treating disease. Diagnosis: dry lips, white tongue, vomiting/distension with spontaneous diarrhea. Summer latent pathogen reaches deep autumn... Not stoppable by Chai Hu (Bupleurum) or Zhi Shi (Aurantium). Vomiting black water, abdominal pain, Fetal Qi unmoved, pathogenic Heat deeply trapped inside, steaming forcing Zang-Fu, indicating critical danger...
Huang Qin (Scutellaria Root), Huang Bo (Phellodendron Bark), Chuan Bei (Fritillaria Bulb), Huang Lian (Coptis Rhizome), Qin Pi (Ash Bark).
Less chills, more heat, meaning initial syncope then heat. Severe heat attacks Fetus, rushing to Heart causing pain. Fetus resides in Chong Vessel, Malaria pathogen moves from extremities to Stomach system, governed by Yang Ming Stomach Meridian. Upper vomiting of green/black saliva foam, Fetus forced by pathogen, rushing to Heart. Always Heat Pathogen has no outlet, sinking inward endlessly, inevitably causing abortion, plus協热 (collaborating heat) spontaneous diarrhea, external pathogen exiting from interior, warning of "no death until rest". Formulas for protecting Fetus usually tonify Yin and benefit Qi; now Heat is blazing and congested... Ren, Jiao, Gui, Di (Ginseng, Gelatin, Angelica, Rehmannia) instead serve as banners for Heat Pathogen. Previously using extreme Bitter without Cold, aiming to quickly pass Upper Jiao, treating Yang Ming Stomach and Jue Yin together; now using Sour-Bitter to drain Heat Pathogen from both meridians, externally using well mud to protect Fetus.

Bitter, Sour, Acrid, clearing/draining Yang Ming and Jue Yin Heat Pathogens, plus external Fetus protection method. Disease severity reduced by 20-30%. Tongue black with prickles, center dry and stiff... and regulate. Protecting Fetus and preserving Yin, clearing Heat and removing Pathogen, both indispensable.
Chuan Lian (Sichuan Toosendan), Xian Sheng Di (Fresh Raw Rehmannia), Zhi Mu (Anemarrhena Rhizome), E Jiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin), Ji Zi Huang (Chicken Egg Yolk).
Starting from anger moving Liver, winter warmth lacking storage, Liver Qi rises excessively, Lung Qi fails to descend, causing cough/reversal and panting, Heat trapped entering interior, deafness, spontaneous diarrhea. Persisting for a month, True Damage inevitably aborts Fetus; not a minor ailment.
