**Wuweizi Tang (Schisandra Decoction)**: Treats disease of the Lung meridian, characterized by profuse sweating, aversion to wind, intermittent coughing, shortness of breath, symptoms improving during the day and worsening at night. The presentation includes chest fullness when lying on the side, rapid breathing, and stifling sensation, indicating wind pathogen invading the Lungs. If the skin color from the sides of the nose down to the mouth and up to the eyebrows is white, moxa moxibustion should be applied immediately to Feishu (BL13) for 100 moxa cones. If the color is yellow, the Lung has been damaged, and blood transformation is impaired; this is incurable. If the patient makes empty grasping movements or picks at bedclothes for several days, death is inevitable.
*Ingredients*: Wuweizi (Schisandra Berry), Xingren (Apricot Seed, stir-fried, skin and tip removed), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig Bark), 0.5 liang (approx. 18.75g) each; Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), Zhigancao (Prepared Licorice Root), Chi Shaoyao (Red Peony Root), and Chuanxiong (Sichuan Lovage Rhizome), 1 liang (approx. 37.5g) each; Chuanjiao (Sichuan Pepper), 0.25 qian (approx. 0.9g).

**Bixie San (Dioscorea Hypoglauca Powder)**: Treats disease of the Kidney meridian, characterized by profuse sweating, aversion to wind, facial and bodily edema, spinal pain, inability to walk or stand, changes in skin color, and lower back pain while sitting, indicating wind pathogen invading the Kidney meridian. If reddish-yellow patches like cakes are visible around the hypochondrium (left/right/upper/lower), it is treatable; apply moxa moxibustion immediately to Shenshu (BL23) for over 100 cones. If teeth are yellow, hair and beard stand erect, and the face is earthy-colored, it is incurable.
*Ingredients*: Bixie (Dioscorea Hypoglauca Rhizome, wine-soaked), Gouji (Cibotium Rhizome), Duzhong (Eucommia Bark, skin removed, crushed, stir-fried), Baifuling (Poria, skin removed), 1 liang (approx. 37.5g) each; Heshouwu (Polygonum Multiflorum Root), Tianxiong (Aconitum Carmichaelii Root, processed, skin and navel removed), Zexie (Alisma Rhizome), 0.5 liang (approx. 18.75g) each.

*Usage*: Crush into coarse particles. Take 4 qian (approx. 15g) per dose, add one-and-a-half zhong zhan (approx. 300ml) of water and five slices of fresh ginger. Decoct to one zhong zhan (approx. 200ml). Strain and take warm, at any time.
**Case Study: Wind Invading Fu and Zang Organs**: Zhang Anfu, aged 61. In the winter of the Jiwei year, he suffered from hemiplegia, slurred speech, mental confusion, irritability, spontaneous sweating, exterior deficiency with aversion to wind (feeling like ice and snow were poured on him), loss of taste, inability to smell odors, fear upon hearing wooden sounds, frequent urination, and dry constipation. He wished to use purgatives like Dahuang (Rhubarb), but dared not due to poor appetite; otherwise, he experienced abdominal fullness and could not sleep day or night, which was his greatest suffering. This lasted over three months, with three different physicians failing to improve the condition. On March 7th of the Gengshen year, wind pathogen added to the existing condition, causing phlegm-cough, dry and painful throat, excessive saliva, and epigastric qi stagnation resembling dysphagia. I reflected on the classics: "Wind and cold damage the form; worry, fear, anger, and resentment damage Qi. Damaged Qi leads to Zang organ disease; Zang organ disease manifests in the form." Also: "Human Qi is named after the fierce winds of heaven and earth." When this wind Qi sinks into the Yin and cannot ascend and generate, disease arises. Also: "When the body is comfortable but the mind suffers, disease arises in the vessels; the Spirit is diseased first." External wind pathogen invades the meridians, moving unpredictably, causing the aforementioned symptoms to appear together. Treating disease requires addressing the root cause so that evil Qi may retreat. According to the season, Yang should be raised, the Spleen and Stomach tonified, and Liver Wood drained. According to the disease, the interior and exterior should be fortified, Wei Qi nourished, Liver Wood drained, dryness moistened, Yuan Qi benefited, and emotions regulated. This treats the root. The appropriate formula is Modified Chonghe Tang (Harmonizing Decoction).
*Ingredients*: Chaihu (Bupleurum Root), Huangqi (Astragalus Root), 0.5 fen (approx. 0.2g) each; Shengma (Cimicifuga Rhizome), Danggui (Chinese Angelica Root), Zhigancao (Prepared Licorice Root), 0.3 fen (approx. 0.1g) each; Banxia (Pinellia Tuber), Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark, wine-washed), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root), Chenpi (Tangerine Peel), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Shaoyao (Peony Root), 0.2 fen (approx. 0.07g) each.
*Usage*: Crush into coarse particles. Prepare as one dose, add two zhong zhan (approx. 400ml) of water, decoct to one zhong zhan (approx. 200ml). Strain and take warm. For spontaneous sweating, add Huangqi (Astragalus Root) 0.5 fen; for cough, add Wuweizi (Schisandra Berry) 20 grains. Insomnia day and night is caused by mental disturbance stirring internal Heart Fire, which rises to the Yang aspect, preventing Wei Qi from entering the Yin aspect. Use Zhusha Anshen Wan (Cinnabar Calming the Spirit Pill) to restore sleep. Ten days later, Anfu said, "I couldn't sleep for over three months; now I am excessively sleepy. Could another disease have arisen?" I replied, "No. Wei Qi circulates through the Yang twenty-five times during the day and through the Yin twenty-five times at night. Now Wei Qi enters the Yin aspect following its natural cycle, allowing Anfu to sleep. What disease is there?" Only red sclera and difficulty opening the eyes remained; use Danggui Lianqiao Tang (Angelica and Forsythia Decoction) for washing.
*Ingredients*: Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome), Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark), 0.5 fen (approx. 0.2g) each; Lianqiao (Forsythia Fruit), 0.4 fen (approx. 0.15g); Danggui (Chinese Angelica Root), Gancao (Licorice Root), 0.3 fen (approx. 0.1g) each.
*Usage*: Prepare as one dose, add two zhong zhan (approx. 400ml) of water, decoct to one zhong zhan (approx. 200ml). Wash frequently while warm. Thirteen days later, towards dusk, mild restlessness occurred. Add Chaihu (Bupleurum Root) 0.3 fen to the previous Chonghe Tang to raise Shaoyang Qi. Take three doses. By the fifteenth day, peaceful sleep was restored; spontaneous sweating, aversion to cold, and heat/fullness in the chest and diaphragm decreased. Frequent urination reduced; bowel movements occurred every one to two days; smell and taste returned; diet normalized. Pulse was slightly wiry and soft, palpable with slight strength. Only throat obstruction, swelling behind the epiglottis, and red tongue remained. Morning speech was clear, afternoon speech slightly slurred. Use Xuanshen Shengma Tang (Scrophularia and Cimicifuga Decoction).
*Ingredients*: Shengma (Cimicifuga Rhizome), Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome), 0.5 fen (approx. 0.2g) each; Huangqin (Scutellaria Root, stir-fried), 0.4 fen (approx. 0.15g); Lianqiao (Forsythia Fruit), Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), 0.3 fen (approx. 0.1g) each; Niubangzi (Arctium Fruit), Xuanshen (Scrophularia Root), Gancao (Licorice Root), Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus), 0.2 fen (approx. 0.07g) each; Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), 0.1 fen (approx. 0.04g).
*Usage*: Crush into coarse particles. Prepare as one dose, add two zhong zhan (approx. 400ml) of water, decoct to seven-tenths. Strain. Swallow while slightly warm. Previous symptoms healed well. Only weak teeth and inability to chew remained; use Yaosao San (Tooth-Strengthening Powder).
*Ingredients*: Yangjingguhui (Ash of Sheep Tibia Bone), Shengma (Cimicifuga Rhizome), 2 qian (approx. 7.5g) each; Shengdihuang (Rehmannia Root, fresh), Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum), 1 qian (approx. 3.75g) each; Baifuling (Poria), Renshen (Ginseng Root), 0.5 qian (approx. 1.9g) each; Wutonglei (Liquidambar Resin), 0.3 qian (approx. 1.1g).
*Usage*: Grind into fine powder, mix with a small amount of Moxiang (Musk). Rub onto teeth before bed, then rinse with warm water.
Initially, Anfu suffered from right shoulder and arm pain without fixed location, inability to lift objects, excessive sweating upon movement, emaciation, inability to lie normally (pain worsened when lying). The classic states: "Sweating on one side leads to hemiplegia." Reflecting on the *Ling Shu*: "Where deficiency and excess are adjacent, puncture to unblock." Also: "Where wasting and thinning persist, puncture at joints to make meridians smooth and Qi/Blood recover." Also: "For sinking conditions, apply moxibustion." Because Yang Qi sank into Yin, causing shoulder/arm pain and immobility, fire guides Qi upward. Tonify and warm. Acupuncture and moxibustion are suitable. First, puncture the Jing-Well points of the Twelve Meridians. On April 12th, at Jianjing (GB21) on the right shoulder/arm, needle first, then moxa 14 cones. When the moxa blister formed, muscle mass gradually increased in the wasted area, sweating decreased, and the shoulder/arm gained slight strength. On May 8th, moxa left Jianjing (GB21) and Zuchi (PC3) again, 28 cones each, to guide Qi downward and connect with righteous Qi. The next day, arm strength improved, allowing voluntary movement. It was mid-summer, heat increasing. Use Qingfei Yinzi (Lung-Clearing Infusion) to tonify Lung Qi, nourish Spleen/Stomach, and calm Heart Qi.
